the ABSOLUTE best I've gotten was 340 miles and that was because it was highway and a slow highway at that...you can get that all day long if you go 55...but most highways around here are 70 limit...so of course you go 80 to 85 which KILLS your mpg.

Yeah I was, in that case I'd keep it and save up for the GT-R if it's a realistic car you can keep. (Payments, maintenance, ect.)

If not I'd put the TL back to somewhat stock and get a S2K and make it like 2000 pounds. Match the weight with the badge, baby.

^^^ Well thats what I have been doing since the past 3 years but had to pour all the savings in the house

When I got the car my SSN was fairly new and hence I was only able to get a 3 years loan and @ 13.xx% the payments were crazy....every couple months I used to make an extra payment....as my credit kept building up they credit union started reducing my %....I remember when I was finishing up the loan (after 2 years of owning the car) I was down to 6.xx%....

so bought a 2005 model car in 2007, paid off in 2009 and started dreaming of the GTR ever since....started putting some $$$ aside for the GTR thinking i will be able to buy one in 8-9 years LOL....and now i am back to square one haha....back to saving for the GTR....and if I end up finishing the basement or putting a lift in my garage or something around those lines, the GTR will have to wait another couple years

Lol by then the GT-R will be a unicorn car

Get the S2000 man.

What a beast of a track car it would be. 2000lbs and you could easily add power to it, supa-lightweight wheels :VTAAAKKKKKKK:

^^^ the S2000 should be able to be less than 1900 lbs if made dedicated for the track....

the car weight right around 2700-2800lbs stock....and i think you will be able to shave almost 800-1000 lbs and throw a SC or a small turbo in there and call it a day

~2000lbs and medium boost putting down 400whp....

LOL $100k GT-R plus that performance package = $$$$$$?

SK2 is what? Under $15k? Weight reduction is free and performance will be cheap, huge market for it.

Sorry was crazy busy at work

If you guy a GTR, you will turn the TL to stock? My ass
You will not, you will be driving the GTR 24/7
You going to make it a track car? So what.. you made the TL a track car, you still drive it 24/7

and you will not want to waste time with TL anymore
you did it like that, keep it

Mazzeratti? Naaah too expensive, I don't think you will buy it + that maintance cost and etc
Ferrari DNA dude

S2K? Fug that, what do you do? Track all day?
You got a wife dude
Turn S2K into a total track car...you will get the same feeling the TL gives
Unless all you do is race at tracks everyday...no

You will get GTA in 2 years? Forget that too
Get a NSX (if you want today, or 2 years later)
It will worth the money, that car is epic. Done

GTR will change, and every year idiots are adding 5HP I don't know why
to bump the price for 5K I guess
They added 10 HP to the new one right? 550?
anyways what Austin said, after 2yrs...unicorn

Yeah giving them a hope
naah brother does that, he mighttttt get a car
well...my dad lol

He is 3yrs younger than me, don't know how to drive well, doesn't love driving and doesn't understand much from the actual car... but
he could list you every model of every brand, what HP, what models, which options, prices everything haha
Follows too much

My dad won't buy him a M3 but if below 10K...may be
I am trying to make him want MT
He is like how the hell I am going to drive MT
Take ma TL betch

Hell no

Nah in 2 years it will still be around...8 years down the road? Nissan will be making something completely new, and who's to say it will keep up with the GT-R of today. The GT-R now could be a one time deal

Im late to this, but have E46 M3s really dropped that much in price??

Also, I think 1900lbs in a track ready, boosted S2k is a bit optimistic. I see 2200lbs without driver. Its not like the TL where there is 1000lbs of shit you can rip out, there isn't much in the car to begin with.

If you do decide to pick up an M there are alot of things that need to get inspected. I did alot of research on them before I bought my TL four years ago. Check out m3forum.com, they have a pretty nice e46 section over there. They have a saying that goes something like this; buying a cheap M could end up being the most expensive car you've ever owned.

Should I buy this for front?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/7443-7440-AM...30887619230%26

and where the heck is this located?

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-109-diy-eliminate-led-bulb-induced-hyper-flashing-without-load-resistors-815219/

or putting a resistor to trunk is easier?

That's located above where the fuses are, if you're putting LED's in for turn signals you're going to need it. J did it for me when we were doing my headlights

Basically you pull the cover off and reveal that, use a soldering gun to take off the OEM resistor and then solder the new one into place. It's fairly simple.

If you don't want to do this, you always have the resistors to wire up to each light.

I am coming J.
Yeah, soldering is easy but, do you remember if he used .12 Ohm or .24?
Since you are going to install leds for back signals too..

Some people got away with .12 , using leds front and back but not everyone
