This is why I love when customers use properly fitted rubber floor mats, makes my job a lot easier. Carpets turned out great. Not a big tan interior fan but looks so good clean

Ewwww...
I had never really thought about it but after getting teh S4 I
did a round of woolite and water on all surfaces people's hands
touch and I was appalled at how black the water got.

I actually need to do the carpets in the Yukon after a leaking
heater core put antifreeze in the cabin floor. I actually just bought
some chemical guys fabric clean that I'll dilute and use in a spray
bottle with a brush attachment for the drill. I'm hoping for similar
results!
I never realized how how bad it was... I thought my interior was just a dark tan color. It was gross lol. I should’ve done all this when I bought the car. The interior smells amazing now. I don’t even need to use an air freshener anymore lol. The Leatherique left a really nice and subtle scent in the car and the clean carpets did as well.

15 years of dirt. The last owner used the carpet mats and wore through them... I love the tan on the DGP, especially now that it’s clean! Lol

I used Bissel carpet cleaner diluted in warm water. Sprayed it on, used a hard bristle brush to agitate the dirt and then sucked it up. Did it 3 times to each of the front foot wells. Probably going to do the drivers side 3 more times. Or 30. Haha

One of my buddies went with a 3.7 manifold/TB so he hooked it up with his Type S mani/TB. Painted and threw it on along with a P2R manifold spacer and all new gaskets.

Got a new set of headlights to mod. Did one perfectly but melted the second one. Was doing too many things at once and was careless. Oh well. Found a replacement luckily.

Both finished. Black housing, ZKWR lens.

Installed. Did the dark look, all chrome look, now a combo of both and love how it flows.

Don't feel bad, I've melted crap with a heat gun too...

Man! That blacked out look is perfect on your TL!

I saw a DGP last night in person, such an exotic color!

Keep up the progress man!

he used the bleach from his anal bleaching and just slid the belt up and down his crack.

I never liked the open turn signal iteration...I always preferred to have the lens over it...the clear USR one or even a blacked out
under with the amber over it. Looks clean as always though!

Ahh, it really sucked honestly. What was worse is I couldn’t find a 2006 headlight for shit. Every listing said 04-06 but 06 has a slimmer ballast... I got so lucky to find one.

I used the pristine clean and a medium/hard bristle brush that came with the Leatherique kit along with warm water.

Thanks! Those things can be a pain to clean. Especially the red buttons on the buckles...

So, I traded my non resonated mid pipe and some cash for a set of 07-08 base headlights which I cracked open, painted black, added etched lenses, demon eyes, and amber delete. Then was offered Type S headlights plus cash for them so here is how the car sits as of now. Going to try and sell them and buy the Depo ones with the clear diffuser. Don't have the motivation to do another set right now with school and work.

Said F it and decided to mod the Type S headlights. Ordered etched ZKWR lenses but they etched the wrong pattern. Still looks good just not my first choice. Installed a demon eye kit, and USR clear turn signal diffusers as well. I also ran additional pigtails from the OEM fog lights into the DRL bowl so the factory switch controls the DRL and the fog light. More pics to come.

Not the best picture but here is how the headlights look with the lights on. Looks a bit yellow because of the lighting but its all ~5500K.

Swapped out the front springs for 20k springs and dropped it another turn which equates to 1/8". Rides smoother with the 20k because I run less preload than I did with the 12k. I love the look because now the gap between the lip and the fender is the exact same front and rear. I also threw A 3mm spacer in the front to make it flush like the rear. I might raise it 1/16" for the peace of mind because it barely doesn't rub right now while turning.

^^I’m not positive, but if you didn’t lower it, you could still
make it work, with camber kits front and rear...but you’re planning to lower anyway?

You'll be fine. Im running natural camber and it does not rub. Just need stiffer coils if you are going to be near my height.

Update: So... been noticing my car has been having a very rough idle on cold start. Sounded like it was misfiring, but no CEL. Decided to plug my scanner in and it pulled codes for a misfire in every cylinder and a random misfire. The same codes my old TL had, which were caused by low compression in that case. Cleared the codes to see if they'd come back since they hadn't triggered a CEL. They did. Went down my list of things to check. Spark plugs are new, I retorqued them and made sure no oil was seeping through the seal. Changed out all 6 coil packs. Cleaned the EGR. No dice. I was stumped as to what else it could be. I turned the car on and sprayed carb cleaner on the vacuum lines and they were good. Then I sprayed the P2R manifold spacer and bam, RPMs started bogging. The spacer was leaking all around which was weird because I got new gaskets and torqued everything to spec in the correct order. Took the spacer out and put my stock manifold on. So far its been 220 miles after I reset the ECU and no codes have come back and my idle is smooth again. Had a buddy check his spacer because he was also getting misfire codes, his was leaking too... Car is all good now. Got OEM window visors and the HIC roof spoiler. Got my 07-08 mirrors back from paint, just have to find a day to install them and wire the turn signals in.

Got the facelift side view mirrors on! Yes, turn signals work. Took forever to route the wiring for the signals through the door wire loom and to the taillights, but glad I took the time to do it right.

Because when you get your project to "done" it leaves you craving a new project. Especially if you can recover the money put into it.
Don't worry, you'll never have to worry about that.
