Before night fall, I decided to move on to other issues with the full completion of this install. So here are the stages of trimming the carpet wall to fit flush in the corners as if OEM.
left side trimmed:
left side complete:
moving on to both sides complete:

Not quite buddy...Not quite. Still have the amp issue and still toying with some ideas. I am in love with the way it looks right now without the amp showing at all, but knowing that has more cons then pros vs the amp rack makes me think its almost worth it when I see my trunk...lol

I agree-it does look good.....
It would be tough for me to not finish it up, knowing I was so close.

As it stands... I will be there!
I do now... while on my 1st break and lunch just now I was messing with it and switching from one source to another until all optional sources (Mixed CD's: Reggaton, Linkin Park, JayZ, Tre Songz) and 6 pre-selected mixed stations sound good in one accord with max volumn ending at approx 32-34... Now we wait till after work for me to pump it and see if it last or how long it takes to cut again.
...after the heating/thermal is controlled, its time to get some real tunes

Yeah I've always noticed the same thing whenever someone video records a sound system it sounds very distorted and you can't get the feel of what it sounds like but at least you'll be able to see it at work and a sub in action.

So far so good... I rode all the way home and no thermal shut down. I did stop for gas so it was not continuously played, nevertheless... I did play approx 3-5 songs and some radio time during the 25-30min ride home. When I got home, the amp was hot so there may still be a concern before mounting it in its final place for my desire stealth clean look.

^^^ Whew-no thermal shutdown. It sounds like 3 Mile Island....

Yeah, definitely progress from yesterday. Thanks to Jerry on walking me through to understand some adjustments I seem to be on track. I hope so, cuz it's driving me insane seeing my amp there in the trunk with wires everywhere during this build and the car build in general, I am sure u guys get the point on just how picky I am.
#1303
In brief, quotes are from my AUDIO thread but belong here since its all progress of my build also
My issues :
UPDATE: (WIRING & AMP POWER)
After talking to Jerry, as said above ^... I am off to the next step of testing & tuning the system and troubleshooting my heating issue and my new issue, front stage safe mode shut off. After work today I wired the sub to 8ohm as discussed above and bridged the front stage speakers. I know it doesn't make sense to add more power when the amp is already having heating issues, but this is all in hopes to take from one to give the other and cool it down w/balance and sound better at the end.
After the sub was wired to 8ohms I bridged the front stage speaker wires utilizing all 4ch rather then only +/- of channel 1 & 2 to the amp. Made some changes to the RCA' to match the new wiring and channels being used, adj the matrix for the front stage to approx 2-3hrz, adj the eq on amp to approx 8hrz and "0" at gains on amp. End result, so much more better quality sound IMO. No doubt the better quality coming from the front stage. It was night and day. The front stage seem to be sensitive and distorted at some high volume play when connected as before. But adding more power made a dramatic improvement in quality and clarity. I am honestly hearing instruments and sounds I did not hear at the high playing volume of 33. As for the bass/sub... IMO, bass/lows will always be there since its such a dominant sound, so hard to say it does or does not sound the same. Sounds GREAT TO ME!!!
Now, finally would be the test of riding around and playing approx 3-4 full songs. This would be enough music and time for the amp to go thermal and seeing if the RB SLC xovers go to safe mode since this was exactly when both or either occurred. More to come fellas, but fwd progress is a positive thing
Update resolved:
Now, on with the most recent update. I took the car for a ride. The slow and long way to the GFS food mart to get (MY FAV!) provolone cheese ...at least that was my excuse All the way there and back I must have played and tested up to 8-10 songs. I would say that was a major improvement and progress for my issues. I felt the amp just to see how hot it was still getting, and Yaaaa-ouch! (NO ONE TOLD ME!!!) ...lol! Yeah, that boy still gets hawt! But NO THERMAL! And as for the front stage, NO SAFETY SHUT OFF the entire time or drop in sound to pre-shut off during to much load. Still tweekin here and there, but overall its pretty much set where it stands. Today ends in a good day!

So what percentage do you think you're at for completion?
#1306
In addition to my tweaking and wiring today, I found the time to go through some of the "FAIL" pieces of MDF so I can find something to stop the sub from vibrating & flapping when excursion against the lining behind the seat... Like someone here did, I didn't want to use a "Child's building block"
These were actually those strips of MDF I was using for the brackets for the amp mount that failed when I screwed a wood screw and split. So, glad I still had use for em anyways. This is a temp fit. I will remove em and maybe wrap em in carpet just so they blend nicely and do not rub or scuff the sub ring.

Ok recap:
Those small blocks of MDF were placed yesterday to space the lining away from the seal/boot edges of the sub.
Here is is in raw MDF as a temp fit/fix. (same is on bother sides)
Here they are complete wrapped in carpet to blend in to the panel.
...Idk what is wrong with PHOTOBUCKET but I had more pics in detail and final out come of both MDF blocks wrapped in carpet before install. PB won't allow me to download any of the remaining pics

have you thought of mounting the AMP sideways and on the side?
#1311
YES...But where? Its killing me. My amp is just laying there with wires everywhere in the rear area of the driver side of the trunk on top of the cargo tray. I am almost about to pull my spare out and call it a day mounting in the spare well. Especially, there is a car meet/show today locally at USF and I would HATE! to open my trunk and explain it's still under construction...That is just lame
...This is just what I might end up doing today.

Why were you the only person with your trunk open???
I know I said it already but that install is Cleaannnn! Even the whole car is clean. I would show off my hard work too.
ps. I recieved my front components yesterday, and the guy at Sonic Electronix called me lastnight to update me that the sub is on its way I took the speakers out of the box and just stared at them when the UPS guy dropped them off LOL
