Tell me bout it
Nothing really... Just listening to a radio station mildly in the background when I noticed the weird noise on the way to the dentist / orthodontist office to get my sons braces adj. I wasn't sure if it was just me and had to ask my son does here that weird noise? He heard it also so that is when I started to mess with the volume listening a lil closer. That is when I realized something was wrong but didn't investigate or mess with it any more for the rest of the evening.
The following day (230-3am) on the way to work, the noise was more noticable and louder. That is when I waited till day light and took a closer look from the trunk side as advised by a post in the AUDIO thread....And BAM! That is when everything attached to the rear of the sub fell off.

Very nice! Hey be sure to take some time and spray your windshield washer cap and A/C caps. Maybe the teal color or even black....

I was reluctant to deal with ID again but with Jerry/niebur3 explaining the possible bad composite design issue warranty and since all was well and the sub was sounding great i felt i can give em a chance to show themselves and show they recognize their design error and prove they have corrected it and stand by it 100% with a NO HASSLE NO PROBLEM attitude in service... unlike OTHER vendors even here on AZ. But like i said, we will see. If fails or i am not happy, i will definitely change outfits with no hesitation.

Josh, things break...it happens. Glad they stepped up and were willing to make it right!
Throttle body coolant bypass is where you cap off the 2 coolant lines to the TB, and reroute the hot coolant line back to the manifold. Google or search it.
Nevermind, found it

OK, so I just hung up with Richard & Javier at ID, which sounded liek they were going to give me a hard time for the past 2 days. But they agreed to send me a PRE-PAID Label so I can send back this catostropic failed sub and in return they will send me a NEW IDQ12v3 D4 or I pay the difference of a additional $150.00 for a NEW IDMAX12. So, either way, now I just play the waiting game of this back and forward shipping ordeal to finally resolve my AUDIO issue.
More to come... Dah Dah Dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I know which...
so, really not a DEAL at all then to upgrade to the IDQ Max. they're just charging you the difference. Unless you were disappointed in how hard you could push this sub, I wouldn't upgrade. for 150, I'd rather pay the extra 100 and pick up a 2nd 12 and split the power. Recutting that one mount board wouldn't be hard for you now that you know how it all goes in.

This discussion is getting hea on the ones I likevy back and forward on my audio thread. Either way... they would both be nice as options. But being i have 1 amp its best go stick with a single sub set up even if it requires more power to push it but not too much since it is a infinite baffle set up.... then they go on and on blah blah with hrz, spl, sq, watts, cone, excursion, xmax....and shit i just don't get...
