I am here signing in from my droid razr... bedside of my wife in ICU. I almost lost my wife yesteday and at one point... i did. After giving birth to XAVIER URIAH VEGA 8.2lbs and 21.5in...she started hemorrhaging severly and lost so much blood she was rushed to OR while holding my newborn boy helplessly... the room literally looked like a crime scene. Blood was everywhere. 5hrs later approx 230am i was able to join my wife and stand by her side. I since have been back and fourth between the 2 medical facilities where my wife and son have been seperated since delivery. Hopefully she will regain strength later today tonight or tomorrow morning to nurture and care for our son.
Until then... i patiently wait.

Wow Jay...that is some scary stuff. Keep your chin up, I'm sure it will all be ok. My mother went through something similar due to misdiagnosis etc...spent a month in the hospital while I was home with my Dad...everything worked out though and I'm sure it will for you too.

Ok ppl... I have finally had a chance to come home and rest now that things have turned out for the best and have shown nothing but progress. Starting with yesterday, they finally removed all the tubes, pic lines, IV's and apparatus(s). She also since has taken her first steps and moving around, at least to the toilet and back. That alone under the circumstances is a MIRACLE! and I will take that! Today, she finally received the OK to make a attempt to breast feed due to all the narcotics and meds. Things were a lil difficult but nature takes its course with a lil patience.
And finally, we recieved word we may be going home tomorrow or latest Monday, as long as nothing happens til then. ...and that is briefly what has happen and where we stand with our status. Nothing but positive from here on out.
AZ, since I myself have practically dies Monday night... Its a fresh breath of air to finally feel I can live again... Take NOTHING for granted. Say SORRY when not at fault, practice humility, respect, smile more, laugh more, tell some one you love em...Today.
pics to follow.

Sorry you had to experience that JAY, when it comes to your spouse and child, and it seems there is nothing you can do.
Glad all is better now. Im ready for you to be able to return home to a comfortable environment. I personally know the feeling of being "lost".
My son, last June spent 3 weeks in a childrens hospital and the feeling I had seeing him with IV's, feeding tubes, drain tubes in his stomach and down his nose (NG tube?) was torture knowing I could do nothing but try to comfort him. At 2 years and 3 months old he had a ruptured appendix, and was rushed to the hospital. As a new parent, my world was rocked. In the end it taught me life is short and appreciate everything/everyone that comes your way.live life for the moment and not for the future.
SPoil your wife and your child (It's your job to) and appreciate all those sleepless nights, dirty diapers, crying tantrums because moments like this you would give anything for those times. praying for your family a quick recovery home.

So, gave her some Tylenol and she was back to normal at 99.8 temp ... I am drained bro...Up and Down Up and Down a total emotional roller coaster on steroids and a full bottle of NOS...lol
