GeeteeDan's progress thread
It's pretty basic bro, take off the strut bar, take out the shock and spring (they're together lol) then you'll need to take apart your shocks/springs and replace the spring with your new one. Get a spring compressor though.

it's an easy enough install...very straightforward...the rears are the biggest PITA, but still very doable.
for what you'll pay for the type s suspension, i'd look into some aftermarket full coilovers...they definitely come fully assembled and will allow you to set your height.

^^^ I agree with Jer....look into an aftermarket setup....
I know Tein's dont come pre-assembled but the XLR8 ISC N1's come fully assembled with top hats and everything....all you need to do is drop the old suspension out and put the new one in....no need for any spring compressor or anything....
and the best part, all that for $850 shipped....and you can adjust dampening and preload....i would def look into it....
as a matter of fact, check this guy selling it on the BM for $800shipped....

Ok. So my simply (in theory) spring install in 2 weeks has turned into a project now. Ordered new shocks along with a rear camber kit and have scheduled to have my rear fenders rolled that afternoon.

That's funny, I always hated visors and now I can't picture my car without them. On a black car, they add an extra visual element to the profile that I dig.
Ok, so springs and shocks, and rolled fender and camber kit in one shot...well, it'll be a 6 hour install BUT at least you have easy access to everything as you work. How much you paying for the roll?

60 for both rears rolled from a reputable shop about 10 minutes away
And you think it can be knocked out in 6 hours really? Have my brother coming over to help next Saturday and I'm Friday I'm going to get the front on jackstands and have the front wheels off and rear interior out to save time for Saturday.

I've done rear suspension, including adjusting the coilovers to the right height...in 4 hours.
But I've done it a few times now. I'm sure you can knock it out...be sure to rent a spring compressor to swap over tophats. You have impact gun or air tools? Using the compressor with hand tools will take a LONG time.
Why didn't you just lower it first and see if you even needed the camber kit and the roll? I mean, good idea to have it done anyway, but it might be needed.
