GeeteeDan's progress thread

Got my car back in Oct 10' with 77k on the clock. Joined here shortly after and thats when my addiction got started.

Day i brought the Car home

First part ordered were Blue led's

Next came Type S tails and side markers and oem sunroof visor

Got bored with the front end so i used some Transparent Film and cut out the acura letters in the film and painted them black.

Wife's TSX and my TL

Few months later i decided to hit my stockies up in a gunmetal finish. Took about 5-6 hours for all 4 and this is how they turned out.

Debadged the rear came next. Used good ole fishing line and goo gone. Also, removed the sunroof visor as i liked the flow of the car better without it.

Found a silver High temp paint that was close the color of my car so i did the engine covers

Car pretty much stayed the same for a while as i was busy closing on my First house.

Once in the house i picked up where i left off. Accord fogs were next on my list and i couldnt have done it without GP's DIY thread.

This is were i fell in love with plasti Dip. Center grille and random interior pieces were up next.

Mother inlaw decided to back into my bumper with her trailer hitch so i was left with 2 options. Get another 04-06 bumper and do all the cutting again for the accord fogs or swap it all out for the 07-08 Base front. I think i made the right choice. So in rolled all the parts.

And the final product after i received my Depo fogs. Also installed 6k HID's in the fogs

Got this from a buddy for cheap so i installed it and threw on an extra acura decal I had.

Last mods in a group have been. Oem Visors, a set of 18x8 Aspec rims, 35% Tint, Type S trunk spoiler, Painted rear emblem and 20mm Rear spacers

After Tint and i redid the wheels in plasti Dip and used glossifier.

Big thanks for the pics from the meet, Cant wait for another

Many Thanks go out to everyone thats givin me pointers and ideas over the past year and a half. I have an appointment tuesday to get my roof done in a gloss black vinyl so ill add pics once thats done.

Nice! You should clear your headlights! Car is looking great!

What are the plans for the spring/summer?

Oh so you're just going to steal my pictures like that huh? That's cool of you.

Haha just kidding dude. It was nice meeting you and checking out your car in person. I'll check and see if I have more pictures of your car that I can edit and upload here for you.

In for pics of black roof

Haha well, ended up working later than I planned yesterday and missed the appointment to get te vinyl. So, last night I plasti dipped the roof again and this morning hit it with black. Tonight comes another coat of black and then a few coats of clear to bring that shine out

Btw: I blacked out the 2 silver accent pieces on my lower grills. Now it matches my old 04-06 style better

Get some pictures after you goss the roof please. I was planning on doing this but looked at some pictures and noticed how uneven the roof gets when you spray it. You have random streaks in the middle, etc.

Hopefully yours will turn out good! Can't wait to see.

yea, even painting it on top of the plasti dip didnt look right so once again, peeled it off. just going to do the vinyl and be done with it, so ill post up pics when that gets done.

Here are the last 2 photos i took after adding 3 more coats of black, before i took it all off again.
