Dude, clearing the headlights is so easy; especially since you know how to take the bumper off.

I did it for the first time on my cousins car and it came out really well. I was mostly scared of taking the bumper off but since it looks like you've done it before it should be cake.

I went and took out all the internals from the headlight before putting it in the oven, but most members agree you don't even have to do that; its a LOT of extra work.

ON a side note, are your A-Specs plastidipped? I know you went crazy with plastidip in one of your threads but I forget if you had painted these or plastidipped them.

My cousin is going for the same look as you with his 04 SSM. He has A-Specs we are planning on plastidipping as well.

Here's a pic of his headlights that we did. Maybe these will inspire you

I'm going to read over a lot of threads this week coming up on the headlights. If I can manage to grow a big enough set of balls then I'm going to start it Friday morning on my day off.

Don't tempt me steven

I am thinking that painting the housing black and then taking the amber out would be enough. If I do take the amber out, isn't the bulb just a clear bulb? I'd have to find an orange one correct

No, the light is orange. You can find a bulb that has a chrome finish and it will blink orange or you can just get a switchback

as in get switchbacks and about clearing your headlights....

i would try to do the headlights myself as it gives me satisfaction....i can down the line say "all the mods on my car are done by me"....and if you mess up, pack it and ship it to ACK/JnC....again I prefer JnC to ACK just because I have seen the work of each of them and I like JnC's work better....

and yeah summer is here...tons of bugs all over the place....as a matter of fact a damn grasshopper accidentally flew in my car as i was driving to work the other day....had to pull over and search for that mofo....

good thing you did, or else that grasshopper would have killed you.

I watched Anil help Steven out with his headlights. Didn't really seem too hard. Just gotta make sure the seal is solid afterwards. What I was going to suggest if you do it yourself is tape up and/or cover the whole headlight lense so the sealant won't get on it. Once the headlight is put back together, you could just peel it all off, and off comes any sealant that may have gotten where it wasn't supposed to be - instead of having to clean it off with some dissolvent

Gotta keep it clean
