I've got the steering wheel-it's nice. The issue I have with the OEM carbon fiber pieces is that the weave is too dark. You can see it best in direct sunlight. You'll see that on the new pieces you purchased as well as the steering wheel.

Steven Bell cool stuff,i would have the steering wheel already if it wasnt so expensive. My carbon fiber pieces don't seem to be so dark.
swoosh Thanks brother. That icon got me laughing.
do it yourself
Rear carbon fiber trim kit / Part # 08z03-sep-201d
Tools needed :
- very clean rag + alcohol(to clean the area spotless)
- Very steady hand
Before
Afther
Always install the bigger piece first then the small one(the one that covers the pocket). Afther each piece is installed apply pressure over it with a clean soft rag.
Tip
When installing the bigger piece, work your way from the bottom up.It always lines up better that way.
The whole process takes no more then 15 minutes.

Slpr04UA6 , it was definitely a 5AT.I do remember that because i had to change the trans fluid.
Just got a bargain on ebay. Two type-s wheels super clean/almost new for $319 shipped.I've been on the lookout for this wheels and can never find them for less the $190 each, even refurbished.
All my 4 wheels in the car are somewhat bent, but at least now i can have some good ones in the front.
So i'm pretty happy about that.No more severe shimmy over 60mph.

Just got the wheels in the mail
Just got a set of type-s wheels in the mail.Afther further inspection i must say ,WHAT A STEAL.These wheels are just like new .
My car looks kind of weird with the spare on.Looks like it was never used, cool.
So the other day my navigation froze and i got an error message.Uppon inspection, look what i found:
Looks like my navigation unit may have taken a crap and scratch the shit out of the navi disc.
I'm going to have to look further into that.

Thanks guys.
Update:
Finally got both wheels installed, wow ,what a difference.Much more smooth over 50 mph.
So,while changing my wheels i noticed that the center caps where mad faded. What used to be black was now gray.So i look it up to buy new ones.(drum roll.....)
The price is $35 each. Wow.No way,not me.So here is my solution for now.
Before
After
If you plan on doing it yourself.
Tools needed:
- Brake klean or Rubbing alcohol
- Clean rag
- very small pick(to pull out the thin metal sticker insert)
- Lots of patience (the glue under that sticker is hard to come off)

hey endless you mind if I can get a free consult from you and use your expertise a buddy of mine sent me a pic and asked me if this part should be changed I personally dont know so you are the first person come to mind and I dont know if you saw our new thread but we are planning a bbq in central jersey Roosevelt park by menlo mall check it out
#314
sourial84,good news is i most likely am going to the BBQ.When and where is it?
Bad news, by looking at that picture your buddy is going to need a rack and pinion. What you see there in that picture is a leaking seal in the rack thats starting to leak thru the boot. These are oem prices (part $440.00 - labor 4 to 5 hours).
So i got the oil cap.
Can you spot the old one.
Just got the brembo stickers .All together they measure 3.25 length, are this the right ones ?

swoosh ,nothing wrong with the oil cap just chipped.
Type-s can be transformed into an a-spec.The a-spec badge goes to those tl's that get upgraded with the a-spec suspension.
They have a-spec suspension for base and type-s models.
Steven Bell thanks bro. Yeah, Viva Portugal. We lost against Germany this weekend but there is still hope.
