Awesome how a Mugen Civic was parked next to you. Steal his spoiler!
That CBP TL-S isn't too far away from where I am. Glad to see a car that was ACTUALLY driven.

Yeah pretty cool,it was a shame that it was scratched on both sides(on purpose).Got to love the mugen goodies it comes with,i personaly love the Mugen shift knob.
Besides that high mileage CBP tl-s,a few months back found (also on autotrader) a 2007 WDP tl-s (auto)with 193,000 miles going for $10,500.That one was sold within a week.

Liking the rotors....looking forward to the pictures!

Thanks guys,i will be putting those rotors on,wednesday.Unless it rains,i might also paint the rear calipers black.Just because they going to look so bad next to the new parts and also to cover up some of that rust.
The big funnel ,guitarplayer16 it's actually the tool i use to remove the air out of the coolant system. It works perfect everytime.
I noticed now my thermostat opening at 179C while driving instead of 185C,not much but was getting a bit lazy.

So here are a few pics of todays activities.
Front brakes on hold ,for some weird reason one caliper bolt on each side is seized.i got a tap and die set but not that big,so i didnt want to risk it.I will try to repair the threads and hopefully that works.
Does anybody know the exact measurements on those bolts for the tap and die set? i researched online and i'm thorn between 14mm x 1.50 or 14mm x 1.25 .
So, i ended up replacing the rears.Dind't paint the calipers because i wanted to do it perfect,i was too pissed at this point to paint them.
So afther i finish the rear brakes i had some spare time to finish something else.
It's a scangauge 2 ,i will be using it to monitor things like:
-water temperature
-battery voltage
-intake air temperature
-manifold air pressure....
It fits perfect,no wires showing and i can close the pocket door with no problems.
It's a early christmas gift from the wife.

Small inexpensive/do it yourself tip
Thanks mY sLOW UA6 ,i love driving this thing.
I personaly in all my cars every 10,000 miles, remove the iat(intake air temperature sensor) and clean it.It is completly black every single time.will you notice any difference, no,but your computer sure will. That sensor dirty gives an innacurate reading to the computer.
Tools neede:
-flat head screw driver(to remove engine cover)
-19 mm wrench or socket(to remove the sensor)
-a rag and some carb cleaner
*make sure your ignition is off, otherwise when you disconect the sensor you will get a check engine light.
It's that simple.

The rotors look great. Now you'll have to get your Type S wheels refinished. I got mine done-they look so much better.

They should be able to fix the bends when they refinish the wheels-that's what they did with mine.

Really Nice TL Dude! I always wanted it in White but i settled for Silver cus of the super low mileage it had when i bought it (29k) you car inspires me to know my car can still look brand new at 100k plus miles and has also changed my focus from mods to maintenance first! lol
#113
How much did the whole wheels job cost you ( Steven Bell )?
emilio320 - Hey good luck with yours, silver is also a nice colour.I'm glad to see that your focus changed.
Speaking of maintenance.... i will be changing my PCV VALVE soon. Not because it needs to be replaced but because it's so easy to change and its so inexpensive that i really dont see a reason not to change it.I will be posting pics and step by step.
I just wish it wasn't so cold outside.I still got to swap my front Calipers and finish the job i started .I hate driving around with 2 types of rotors on the car.

Nice progress sir! Why did you get another set of Brembos?
#115
CLtotheTL32 i got another set of Brembos because the ones that are on the car now, once i take out the bolts will have to be repaired.
For the looks of it a tap and die set will not be enouth.I'm going to have to repair it with a drill, then a tap and then a heli coil kit.The kind of things you want to do in a bench in a nice warm enviroment.
Who knows i might paint them while i'm at it.
The funny thing is :i cant blame anyone.I changed the front rotors and pads 1 year ago.Apparently this is a common problem with this brembo calipers.
Anyone know anything i can put on the screws or do to prevent this?
