Vibration after Pre cat delete install

Just had the precats installed on friday(4+ hours).. i did notice a power gain.. I also get that rattle on cols starts. So I'm driving on the freeway at about 65mph when I feel a strong vibration, then loud rasp like I have a subwoofer in my trunk.. The car sputters slightly when i slow down to the shoulder.. I pop my hood and don't notice anything strange. So I pull back on the freeway when it feels restrained. I'm gonna take the next exit but the problem goes away( I actually drove 100+ miles and no problem).. So has anyone with pre cats had this problem? What could it be? Could my ecu be learning this new mod? Could my stock exhaust set up be creating some sort of bottle necking(precats-j pipe-race pipe-stock exhaust & mufflers)?

For the rattle check the heat shield over the immediate shaft. Sometimes it rubs a few people reported odd noises at first but they all went away I think it has something to do with the flex section breaking in. As for the sputtering did you reset the ECU after the install?

No I didn't.... I guess I won't worry about it unless it happens again. Should I reset the ecu? I've driven it for 200 miles. I'll have my installer check the heat shield but I don't think it would cause sputtering..

any time you work under the hood and remove a sensor even the smallest sensor like an intake air temperature sensor you should reset the ecu

I did precat install on sunny201's car, I unplugged the battery, or so I thought, turned out he had 2 batteries, 1 for the car, 1 for music, the car ended up having power to it...

when I completed the install everything was great

few miles later he got a check engine light

he unplugged both batteries and he's been problem/trouble free for 5k+ miles
