Well everybody is going to say AEM. Its the more popular CAI on this forum. AEM, Injen, of Fujita. They all good, in the end its a tube with a filter. I have a Injen with hydroshield but its not installed yet. Whatever you choose im sure you will be happy with it.

I don't understand why people in this forum don't use K&N CAI. Its proven dyno for 8HP. You can convert it from CAI to Short Ram depending on your weather conditions.

I would say there are many reasons why this oiled gauze filtered system is not recommended.

Cotton gauze is not, nor was it ever designed to be, an engine air filter. Avoid using gauze and foam filters in any Acura product.

Actually, the AEM products are at best a compromise. While the dry media certainly eliminates the need for oil, it requires a cleaner. It does provide more efficiency than the gauze products.

However, this comes at a price. In ISO 5011 testing, the Amsoil and AEM are among the most restrictive filters tested. They resemble the OEM filter a great deal in a loading curve. Neither of these products can be called a true performance filter.

The other brands mentioned in the post are of more concern.

Filters

The AEM and Amsoil filter restriction levels are nearly identical to stock. Get the new R2C filters.
