Time to Change AEM V1 CAI Filter

I had AEM v1 cai for 3 years now and I have cleaned it once. Now it is time for me to change the filter but I was wondering if i should get same Dryflow filter by aem or try new product. Please let me know if there is any new item out there that I should consider. (it would be very helpful if you can find me a link )

otherwise, i would buy this again.. (is this the right size btw?)

Why are you replacing it instead of cleaning it again?

I heard from one azine member way back ago that its better to get a new one than cleaning it because there wil still be small amount of residual left on the filer when u clean it. Is he correct??

If you make sure that there's oil on the filter, you'll be fine.

But, a dry flow filter get's rid of the need for re-oiling.

The best thing to do is to buy the replacement filter and then change it out. Then clean your old filter and wait till its time to change and swap them out, you always have a clean filter and you dont have to wait for it to dry when you change it

I thought for some reason you had an "oil-element" filter?

If you already have a dry flow, then there's no need to buy another one. It doesn't hurt to buy another one, but getting the AEM filter cleaner kit and cleaning it should be fine.

The advantage of getting an extra filter is that you won't have any downtime. If you keep the filter you have and just clean it before using it, you have the downtime associated with the drying time. But, you can speed up the drying time by using a blow dryer.
