I really hope you can do it!! but if you can't, is there a place I can go (website) where they make and sell custom tips? I'm looking to get some 120mm tips.
I am hiring a welder so as long as you can find me the tips I can have them welded up.

The numbers are on a unmodifed TL base auto. The TL-s and 6MT will have higher numbers.

The jpipe doesnt make your car louder but it does make your exhaust tone more aggressive. If you arent doing precat deletes there will be no smell.

No impact on your warranty.

I am in Bloomingdale come on by.

This pipe is flawless, there isn't much need for improvement

This with the pre-cats is the best mod for the TL, hands down. I felt the improvement stepping on the gas will never be the same again. Reversing into my garage theres so much pull sometimes :P

This is legal in Cali right? I'm not worried about the visual, just the test.

I believe that is it. It's the little prong thing they stick in your exhaust and rev the engine while connected to the smog computer.

I know the j-pipe removes the 3rd cat and wasn't sure if anyone in Cali had done the research necessary to answer this question. I thought I read something through the thread but don't recall seeing a conclusive reply.

I am not sure how sensitive the sniffer is. You could always throw your stock jpipe and 3rd cat back on if you needed. From my understanding the 3rd cat doesnt really do that much.

So if the 3rd cat isn't an issue on the j-pipe, does the new dual exhaust increase emissions to a point where a smog test failure may occur? I don't believe it should but lets be sure...

I realize you might not have all the answers but hopefully others can chime in on this for us that live in emission anal states.

No, the exhaust shouldn't increase emissions.

what cops do
1. smell
2. check the bottom of the car for the 3rd cat
3. bye bye

don't think cali people can make this work.

Is it just a fix it ticket or something worse? I'm not worried about fix it tickets.

the cops really smell your car and visually check for the 3rd cat? how do they know its supposed to be there stock?

you cant smell anything with the 3rd cat deleted.....it smells just like stock.

AFAIK, there will be no smell unless you are doing PCDs. The V3 J-pipe removes the 3rd cat which doesn't seem to do much besides allow for a ULEV certification. It does not increase odor in any way.

Most people would run into visual checks on the 3rd cat during the smog, but I've got that covered. I think in Cali everyone knows you're supposed to have 3 cats or something, not quite sure to be honest.

3rd cat delete isn't just a fix it ticket.
it's 'pick up your car at impound' ticket haha.

It just happens if you get unlucky.

Regarding the smell, it smells a lot for the first 2 weeks ish after you get the jpipe installed. I've made about 4 jpipes on my accord before richie started making his products and they've all smelled really bad when i first installed them.

in cali, it's a 50/50 chance of getting caught.
