i'll let you guys know when i get the exhaust. i have the whole ultra racing brace set. (front, sides, rear)
the front i had to take off because my jpipe hangs low and it contacts with the brace, causing a noticeable vibration in the front area of the cabin. it was pretty annoying once you hit about 2500rpm lol and also i was afraid it would damage the jpipe over time.
the rear brace on stock exhaust had a tight fitment also. its barely touching and you can kinda tell when you start up the car but thats about it. its not as irritating as the front in my opinion.

i had the opportunity to take bmore07tls' car out for a spin last night and all i can say is WOW. you literally couldn't ask for a better exhaust note. everything is smooth and fluent with ZERO rasp and no drone. it just sounds incredible.
he has hfpcs, v3 jpipe, and the TD exhaust for anyone wondering.

For those who have the TD. The RV6 etched aluminum clamp at the end of the exhaust : is it suppose to be horizontal to the ground? Mines is crooked and won't go straight no matter what I do.
And once you tighten the clamps once are they useless? I had to remove one and readjust but noticed it wasn't as tight the second time.

Sounds really nice Brianch. In those videos its a little bit much for me, I assume thats because the high flow cats? Reason im asking is because if I do decide to get this exhaust I only have the RV6 V3 jpipe and will not be changing my cats. So mine should sound more tame than that right?
Nice video man thanks for sharing

videos don't do it justice. nothing coming through your speakers will compare to how it sounds in real life...like, whatsoever.

I feel like Aaron climbed into my head is now, finally, typing out the reaction I had when I installed mine. Everyone just assumed yada yada, RV6 fanboy a$$licker. I have heard all the other ones, none of them touch the sound of this.
Aaron, Austin will probably buy it from you if you convince him to sell his rear base aspec and get a type s one.
Keep in mind HIS friend pricing formula
Basically, just deduct $1 from whatever you would charge your worst hated enemy.
Bri, leave the clamp alone, it won't straighten out to keep the mufflers straight. But don't worry, unless you're an ant, you'll never see it anyway. You'll strip that allen bolt too, don't ask how I know.

no offense intended, I just wouldn't overstate it too much. it does sound pretty awesome, though. I'm just not sure I'd pay an extra 400 bucks over my ATLP for such a marginal difference in sound/performance.

Understood. Yeah, wasn't implying that the others aren't viable options. I guess it depends on what you're after and honestly, I was after the elimination of rasp in a major way. This did that for me, which is why I was ecstatic.
Weird, mine doens't hit the RSB and my bracket is definitely not straight. Justin, maybe yours was because you installed with no bumper on so you could install it straight. Or maybe I put a twist in further down the line.

here is my crooked clamp. no matter what I do it won't go straight.
BTW since I put thread locker on that allen bolt.. What do I do if I want to loosen it to adjust the exhaust? o.0

have you tried loosening all your clamps and using a jack under that clamp to straighten it up?

Leave. It. Alone.
Justin, yours still straight after putting the bumper back on?
I swear, mine looks just like that.
Zach, yes, I've had mine for over a year now IIRC. It was a dual penetration small tipped version that fits the base opening from the first batch that another member sold me on the BM/Text. Hence everyone joking about my tiny tips and pew pew...still hoping to get with Rich on making a dedicated and beautiful unique base tip that fits our opening. :fingerscrossed:

Just loosen everything from the mid muffler back and try again. You might have to adjust the connection between the exhaust and jpipe as well. If the whole exhaust is slanted. I know it fits properly, I test each one myself.

I had same problem at first. Just loosen everything up and start readjusting it. It'll line up. Just takes patience.

^^^ exactly what Rich said....if you were installing by tightening each both as you go, go back the loosen EVERY bolt...make sure everything is lined up properly and then start to tighten the bolts...

figured i post it again so he listens LOL
I learned this the hard way while trying to fit the 4" cai the first time around....
never tighten bolts as you go....hand tighten them, then hit em again once the fitment is right
there you go, they say 3rd time is a charm
