Guys, you all need to calm down.

We all are trying to follow this thread to keep ourselves informed about the exhaust Weve put a deposit on. Thanks for informing us about an ecu and turbo setup that has nothing to do with this. I don't kno why u got mad when u were asked to go to the right section a 2nd time. Good way to make friends though

I wonder is there anyway to get flat black tips which would have less of a chance of fading or has the black chrome tips fading issue been solved? I am interested in putting a deposit down but was curious on that issue.

^^^ THIS !!! while researching for my custom true dual exhaust, I extensively searched RV6 exhaust with PCD's and couldnt find any/many....i wish there were more videos out there with RV6 exhaust + RV6 Jpipe + RV6 PCD's. I found a ton of videos with HFC's
the minute you add PCD's any exhaust starts sounding a tad bit raspy....
with the RV6 adding a resonator can be tough as there a 2 pipes going all the way back....but i bet Richie will have a way around it

Personally I'm just going to get HFPCs as my RSX-S is loud and smelly enough for me.

^^^ well again depends on what you want from the car....
if you want to extract every last HP/TQ from the engine then getting the PCD is a no brainier
a lot of folks who have the PCD's have a different exhaust (with a single downpipe) so they can add a resonator and call it a day...

Someone chime in on my theory and tell me what you think, ok here goes. The HFPCs are more popular because of there 200 cell count causing less rasp and smell, now follow along here, wouldnt in theory you get the same sound if you put on PCDs and a 200 cell count high flow 3rd cat? in theory it would work since the air still moves thru the 200 cells just further down the exhaust line? thoughts?

^^^ yes that would work
but now you cant get the V3 jpipe...so its a different jpipe with a 3rd cat....
now that you install the 3rd cat (HFC or not) it will reduce the length of your primary pipes and hence will alter the power band

Richie has a video of that setup. I think he used a shower handle with a camera. homemade gopro. I can tell you it is loud but no rasp
Tl was running with a bad trans (slipping)

HFPC vs PCD has been debated for some time. If ultimate power is your goal the PCDs are the way to go. There are downfalls to the PCD in every other area though - noise, smell, legal issues, pollution. The HFPC is a good balance. That is why I'm personally going for the HFPC.
If I wanted a loud exhaust I'd also go with the PCDs.
Anyone get updates from Richie?
