Hopefully when things settle down next year at the shop and you find yourself more quality welders production will become stable. You are making a good name for yourself across a few forums. I'm definitely in for batch 3.

I'm a consulting engineer (trans/roadway) and in my field, as with most others, communication is paramount. We have to make sure we provide periodic updates to our clients on project progress, especially during construction or when design decisions are made, so that we keep them happy (keep getting paid) and, in some (rare) cases, don't end up in court. Although the situation and circumstances are different, I think the principle applies here and your clients (us) wouldn't hound you with personal emails while we wait if we knew you were looking to hire a second/third welder and can't find someone good enough. We all appreciate the attention to detail and quality you give to your products and are happy to pay for it, we all just need to be informed during the process given it's length and that we made deposits.

...and Richie, please don't take my previous post in a negative light...it was really more a generalization on all business/vendors. You're still "up there" as a vendor in my book. 
From what I read above, I'd say that it sounded like prices might go up a bit. Although, production might go faster/easier which would allow him to churn out more/faster...faster rate of return...maybe cost comes down a bit or equalizes.

I completely understand, and I agree with swoosh, rockstar and others that the reason we are all waiting patiently is because we have seen how these exhausts and other products come out and know that they are top quality.

^^ Not a bad idea! Even if we all knew that 1 update per week was coming with a few pics and where production stands a lot of us would back off and ease up 
. You would get a lot fewer phone calls if people knew that an update was coming IMO.
And yes, you are clearly doing something right if people keep lining up like they are... I'm just glad I got in on batch 2, even if the wait continues...
