I think I just realized you didn't mean an entire turbo kit for cheap.

Richie that is an amazing update...As the 3G gets older (and hence more affordable) a lot of people are looking into the FI route to make very quick power....

A turbo kit will be awesome....I know XLR8 is taking over part of JnR Turbo kit after a HUGE FAIL named RODNEY !!! If you plan to custom fab a kit and tune it with either MS3 or Hondata, I think you will be getting a decent of people who would want to make that change

I really think he just meant exhaust that can work with a turbo...
Thanks for Aaron for pointing that out.

Hmmm...if he did mean a turbo exhaust kit, it was kinda vague...as I read it, it means a turbo kit straight up...

And I think I missed Aaron's post that pointed it out??

I hate to screw up this thread with off topic subjects but I gotta with all this FI talk..... I would definitely pay 5k for a new SC setup that replaces the whole intake Manifold (cali smog)

Update

The system came in yesterday!
First of all, thank you Richie for fast shipping, tracking info, and the works. Everything looks fantastic - the welds are superb just like the J-pipe, and the etching and polish in the chrome is perfect.

Installing this afternoon after cleaning the garage... Will add more soon

Tuning options are a must. If we decide to offer tuning options they full tested before releasing it.

Not 100% sure yet maybe around the same price as comptech sc with some cheaper options if you do some DIY.

ohh, I couldnt agree with you more....

but now with the MS3 out for a while and the hondata for 07+ Models, I think you/we have a lot more tuning options than we did 2 years back

With Kurt and Andy who know how to make the MS3 sing a song at their command, I would definitely reach out to them with any tuning questions....

With the craftsmanship you put in the exhaust, I would love to see a Turbo kit with all he piping for intercooler and the exhaust in a full kit....

...I concur, Justin's multiple personalities are not worthy!

Awesome Tedward, thank you for making it happen. Happy!??!
Rich, I'm VERY interested in this turbo setup you speak of based solely on the fact that you don't do anything half assed. It'll be a quality and reliable product and I'm all about the DIY'ing to install and save a few bucks. Thanks for doing the legwork!

J.

^put in that deposit.
it will guarantee richie makes one for you, as these are built to order. this is why it takes so long, because they are built to order.

^ For reference, I was #20 in the second batch... I put in my deposit around the 1st of March, 2012 and I just installed this past Saturday. That's 11 months, for those keeping track.
HOWEVER - Richie has said that some of the production logistics have been ironed out and that batch 3 should be faster.
Definitely throw down the deposit if you're on the fence. You won't be dissappointed.

this is not a wait and see mod, if you have the funds, or will in the next six months...I'd highly recommend you jump on the deposit now. Don't leave it to chance...these are not high production run exhausts like you'll find on ebay...these are basically custom fit limited production batches. If you have the 200 bucks to hold it, do it. NOw.

^^ NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!

Not to mention the exquisite rumbling coming from the ass-end now, there's something to be said for a little high-end exclusivity as well... It's the little things.

...And the downshifts... OH the downshifts!

I felt like checking this thread just to see how excited the members with their new exhausts are... And then I find that you may be putting together a turbo?!?!?! You also had me at hello

You know me Richie... I, as well as the other members know that you have never done anything half assed. I'm sure that if it is as amazing as your other products, comparable with the Hondata, and reliable... I will be the first to put my deposit in...

Congratulations to all the members getting your new parts. As I watched Tedward's videos, I remembered how excited and giddy I was when the exhaust arrived.... not to mention how I felt when I drove my car after the install. I am so glad that I got in on batch 1!!! Thanks Richie for helping me to make my car what it is today.

Agreed! I also feel that way...except I feel as happy every time I turn the car on as I was the first day I installed it. Still the best bang for the buck for a mod that keeps putting a smile on my face. It's perfection....

exhaust sounds really nice. Tedward's videos give a very good sample of the sound.

i still love my atlp quads, but i think i would love RV6 TD just as much. Glad to see more people are finally getting their exhausts from this

Thanks. Those were just taken with a Samsung S3... Nothing fancy.

Now I'm trying to decide what's next. Short Shift? Intake? We'll see....

Tedward, not to go too far off topic...
but:
Remove Slave Cylinder Checkvalve
Short Shift
Shifter bushing kit
Weighted Shift knob
AC Delco Tranny Fluid (previously GM Syncromesh with Friction Modifier).

These aren't suggestions...they are MUSTS for the 6MT 3G.

Richie, Turbo please I am loving the TD exhaust but it kills me not being able to drive it until spring, so much road salt in Wisconsin

To anybody considering buying the exhaust, just do it already!!!! It's money well spent.

heres a thought. Put that 200 deposit in now. then get aspec kit with your tax return check. i myself got the aspec kit as one of my first mods simply because of how hard they are becoming to get. i had to buy my side skirts in silver and get white front and back and have them painted. but put that 200 in real quick and then get aspec with your taxes. if you cant afford 200 now then you really shouldn't have bought a TL.
