There was a pop rivet back there I had to drill out .. I did mine without taking off the bumper.

Don't be afraid to take apart the front bumper..... It's pretty simple and will most likely solve your problem.

ive installed an aem v1 on my tl and then switched to v2. I definitely recommend taking the bumper off, its a lot easier than it looks if you know where the rivets and screws are and makes the intake installation a hell of a lot easier

i am having a REALLY hard time imagining how you can remove the oem resonator box and tubing out without taking off the bumper, and not to mention installing the CAI.....i really dont think its possible, and even if it is, it will most likely result in a hack job(not putting everything back properly)

Honestly its a lot of work for just an intake. I just installed my DC CAI. However, they speak the truth; removing the front bumper does make it easier.

Also, has anyone install a DC CAI? I ask because where the filter is at, it seems that my bumper sticks out a bit. I place everything back properly and the intake is well mount. It just seems that you can tell that the intake is pushing it a bit. Just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem.
