Lol. I'd definitely sell the whole thing (that would account for probably 1/4th of what this will). If I sell my Stage 2 clutch/fw as well, this may be mine....who wouldn't want another 20whp/tq throughout the entire RPM band !?!

If he wanted to avoid becoming a vendor (which is quite costly) he could always get this done through someone who is already a vendor....ahem.

^lol maybe a good choice.

He already has turbo with XLR8.

I think it's hard for him to coordinate group buys without him being involved. Of course you would relay the message but I'm not sure for price and profit sake for us and him.

I know what you mean bro....but for a 8K turbo kit i did expect a 10% "payup"....for a sub 1500 ECU, i did expect a 80% payup....

Look at a $1500 exhaust, everyone on the list pays even thow it doesnt make half the power and give you half the benefits....

It boils down to integrity. If someone puts out the cash to become a vendor based on people putting their name on a list then there should be no backing out.

I understand for many there are more questions than answers but in this game you've got to do some research yourself and expect unknowns to come up.

I think being the holidays some people have just not gotten back around to checking this thread.

The gains are illustrated in the video's which speak for themselves.
I think the interest is there and if Rodney wants to hook up with either HT or XLR8 act as a distributor for his product he can save some $ on vendor costs.

This product is definitely going to bring about a change for the better in the TL community.
Most are just hesitant as they are not as familiar with Rodney and JnR as they may be with other vendors and manufacturers.

I bet you anything after Round 1 of this Group Buy the demand will go up for this product!

What needs to happen is after the group buy the ECU goes up $300 above the pre GB price. That will give some incentive / bonus to those willing to trust in Rodney. This whole wait it out to see how things turn out attitude should cost you as it does with most cutting edge stuff. I paid full price long before this group buy. If we don't support Rodney he will find other more rewarding projects. For all who are waiting/ pulling out of the GB don't be surprised if you never get ECU because of the poor turn out of these GB's.

How dare you........I want to get this, just didn't put my name on the list because the timing isn't right. Raising the price $300 after the GB may capture current buyers, but may also sway future buyers.

I agree with TMax. I think it's holiday time and some people aren't checking the thread. Give it a week and I'm sure you will see at least 4-5 responses from those included on the list.

To an extent, you do. It was initially $1,400. Group buy's usually tend to take about 10-15+% off, so I'd assume somewhere around $1,200-1250. You have to ask yourself if you can fork over $1,200-$1,300 to be safe. If not, take your name off. If so, get 'er done.

You calculations are at par...so after the GB the price will go up to retail....

This i completely with you....the reason the price could not be disclosed is because Rodney is not a Vendor....there is a ballpark provided 1200-1250....So if you can accumulate/have that cash, please be on the list....if you think its tooo much for 20+whp/wtq, then i wish you luck

The price will be posted in the next few days...i think Rodney is working on the final details of the Vendorship....

Exactly!

Being the holiday's is a bullshit excuse. If you are seriously interested in this then you should be checking.

Thankfully for a handful of us, Rodney didn't head for greener pastures when the turbo GB failed miserably. Although some things took time to work out, in the end he has provided us with a workable product that he continues to support.

Even though this is a 'feeler' thread, someone is having to put out money. So it should be more than just people putting their name on a list hoping they become the prom queen or something.

It is safe to assume the price will go back up post GB for sure.
After all the GB is there to benefit the early adopters and help generate revenue for further advancements.
I don't for a minute doubt this GB will go through and once it does everyone is going to want one too!

Give it a few days and you'll see everyone chime back in regarding the ECU.
Some may not go through with it but I have a feeling this time the dropout rate will be minimal.
This ECU has been the missing equation for a lot of bolted owners to fully realize the gains with their mods.
As I'm sure everyone is aware of the bolt-ons for this platform aren't cheap.
This ECU is giving you the ability to obtain the most utility for what you have already purchased and increases both drive-ability and reliability.

Let's put our focus back onto the tuning possibilities that are going to be possible with this ECU for us NA'ers! (FI too of course)
I particularly like the Shadow Logger MS for Androids Phones/Tablets. URL
