Advice On Upgrading Brakes

Hey guys, its coming time that I need to do some matinance to the car, she needs an oil change, tranny fluid swap, tires are getting low..... But first up besides oil is brakes, My pads are ok, a little low but no bad yet. But the rotors are warped, I know the OEM rotors are known for this are I dont plan on wasting my time and money resurfacing them or buying new ones. Im looking at different options and the main thing im looking at is a full set of 4 rotora drilled and slotted rotors. They are running a sale and I can get the set of 4 for 425$ which seems a little high but ya gotta pay to play I guess. My question is about the stock calipers and pads, if I get these rotors is it a plug and play thing or do I need new calipers?

Plug and Play, you won't need new calipers. I would recommend putting new pads on with your rotors though.

Followed by a good brake bleed if you haven't done it in awhile.

thats a actually a good price if you think about it, only a lil bit more than oem but they look better and perform a lil bit better. Rotora makes good stuff. definately get new pads and do a proper burn in to get optimum braking performance.

As long as you buy the correct rotors for the type of brakes you have, it will be a direct fit. I'm in need of new brakes soon as well, prob before the winter hits, so I'll stay tuned. Keep us updated!

I got all 4 RacingBrake slotted rotors RB pads and SS-Braided lines for a good deal from heeltoe. A while back. Probably time for new pads. No warpage. The new brakes make more noise under hard braking, but they work better. They look good and are less likely to crack around holes. The Rotora stuff should be great quality and that sounds like a good price.

i installed my hawk hps pads on the front about 2-3 weeks ago. i was curious and tested them out yesterday, so i was going about 65 and slammed on my brakes, the car stopped phenomenally. i was VERY impressed, the force that sent me forward was tremendous. if i was not wearing my seatbelt i would of slammed into my windshield.

i am now a hawk customer for life
