A buddy of mine had the same issues with his Pranks adaptor kit, so he had to make the correct adaptor plate.

The Pranks kit must have been an April fools joke because not a single adaptor plate bolt hole lines up with the M90. I’m telling the next guy what I’m experiencing after paying $548 for for cut plates of 3/8” aluminum. If the holes were square, I wouldn’t mention it.
Let’s see how square my bolt holes end up being.

This whole time I thought it was an adapter to bolt the blower right to the lower intake runners, completely replacing the upper mani which would make more sense for getting the supercharger under the hood.
Those are 8 ft-lb mini-bolts. Even at rest the belt tension alone will be trying to rip them out.

In addition, Pranks Part kit is designed for the intake manifolds of the 2G J32A2 & J35A3. Your J32A3 IM has a different top plate bolt configuration; thus, the reason it won't work with your application.

Could those 'random holes' be present for the use of some kind of sensor? or be present for NOS kits?

Those holes may be for rerouting the temperature sensor. I don’t know for sure as the kit comes with no instructions.

My neighbor will create a better version specifically for the DBW 3G TL. I will also be able to customize any portion of It.

I think the money spending is unavoidable. If I wanted to save money I wouldn’t be building these interchangeable kits to pull all the ponies possible out of them.
Heeltoe is gladly refunding the purchase. He does good for me.
I will give the entire refund to my neighbor for all his work. The price of the raw aluminum is nearly $200 (priced locally through wholesale aluminum sellers).

ZZ Performances’ newest Stage 2.5 intercooler core. This puppy will lower your intake temps 60-100F. I plan to enlarge the radiator surface area for increased airflow.
So excited see how cold we can make my silver TL vs the black Type-S with the Rotrex on it.

That’s the smith machine in the background. We don’t use that room so we made it into a gym room.
2550 sq ft is far from a McMansion, it’s perfect for out family though! McMansion is 3500sqft+ in my book. The only time I’ll have that is when the other 1000sq ft is my car shop next to the house.
That Holley EFI would be PerfecT for both the Comptech MP62 And the future Comptech MP90!!! I was going to custom make cores for each supercharger, but your idea is genius!!
I would only need to have 1 adaptor plate made outlining the Holley EFI bolt pattern, and the M90 S/C bolt pattern. I could even plug the Water/Meth kit down stream for extra cooling. Intake temps will be 45F on a 90F day!

Poor man’s S/C back on under the knife. Car Mod Porn
Getting all the bolt holes on the plenum modeled for the 04-08 TL adaptor plate.
Specing out the bolt holes so the machine can perfectly drill each one. The Pranks kit holes are eyeballed compared to the method.
Because the S/C is ported, a custom inlet is being modeled to accommodate the larger size.

After farther research you could make the Poorly designed Pranks adaptor kit fit the 04-08 TL by buying a 2002 CL/TL Intake manifold. Though you will then have 1/3 of your air flow restricted by the mod-unfriendly 2002 TL/CL Intake mani.

My guess is that because of the shear size of the M90 versus the M62, so much more air is shoved straight down through what's open, one can't help but to notice a performance bump regardless and as the size of that 'zz top' intercooler indicates, a lot more heat, lol.

The corners of the ZZ Top cooler are lipped quite extensively on either side of the cooler. This greatly restricts the flow of air and cooling potential. ZZTop performance has a supercharger dyno, so there must have been a reason for this.
I will ask them why so much of the cooler is covered up, as I’m planning to cut the covers out. Perhaps because they cooler is built for lower Max RPM engines they restrictions are not as noticeable like on a an engine with a 7.5k RPM range.

No doubt one will feel a boost with a larger supercharger. But it’s akin to drinking milk through a larger straw which has a large bend in it.
Why not take the time to do it right and completely work out the kinks, bugs and gremlins so you can enjoy the new products to its fullest potential?

Did a port job on exactly this for someone, not a hard process even with just a carbide double flute burr. I've heavily gutted the top end of one of these for someone with prankparts and it worked well.
I do believe you have a different m90 than the PP is designed for. The m90s I remember had bolts that connect from underneath the SC similar to the m62. This is the exact reason I went up to the m122 as even the m112 has holes that you have to secure from underneath the SC.
You may have an MP90 which I think is the 5th gen version, higher efficiency, better power, and better bolt holes to accomodate newer models of IM that upgrade later into the M122.
I would be very interested to see what your IM adaptor plate looks like at the end, and possible order one. An alternative to your still very restrictive 3g manifold issue is a bit drastic, but is a method I planned on testing out. Gut the thing. I don't mean a little, I mean make everything under the top plate completely gone. No ports, no supports, no nothing. Your port height actually will still be more than half, and I'm hypothesizing under the instant low-rpm constanst positive pressure would eliminate any "ram air" effects from having longer runners tuned to the port. Factory port diameter and length is actually fairly well designed to peak at ~6500 rpm for our engines (without spacer, 1" spacer gets it to about 5800), however with an SC constantly pushing air down I don't think there's any air waves to speak of. The m122 pushes 2L of air down per revolution, which itll be doing near 14000 LPM. M90 isn't 2L, but even at 1.4LPR at 1000 RPM on a very low 2:1 pulley, you're pushing 2800LPM, 98.88 CFM, or 1.3 CFS. Given thats about 47 liters per second, even at 1000rpm (17rps), on a 3 liter engine, you could need 51 LPS. This means you're under boost from the get go, no bouncing air waves, so the runner length shouldn't factor into torque as much as pulley size and boost. 2:1 pulleys don't exist for our 8" crank pulley, hell they don't exist for an underdrive 6.5" pulley.
Seems drastic, but i'll be trying a setup where ther are no runners, just head straight into a box, straight to the SC at some point. The heads have about 6" of port just to the valve/gasket length, the runners and manifold combined is usually another 7". Losing 3 of that in the manifold isn't going to kill your torque, it should unlock your top end however. Given you have an intercooler you might even be able to run something like a 4:1 (2") pulley, getting 28000 RPM out of that little M90 at redline, and about 653 LPS at redline. Our engine needs about 370 at 90% VE at redline(cant remember cfm or LPM right now, might be in cfm). If it's LPM you could have 10+lbs of boost out of that SC if the IC can handle the heat.

Your dedication and commitment to the 3G TL is crazy. How many super charger kits do you own? 3? I want to find a complete Comptech kit, keep the AC and have fun. Nice work, I’m enjoying all the details and updates in your thread.

The Comptech kits are quite good ones with a little work. In my opinion, Comptech is the perfect quick street car. 30whp more or with a manual transmission this car is perfect on power.

I imagine you can keep the entry to the ports as structural if you see fit, however its 1/4" aluminum in a cast unibody, i'm not sure anything would move. Especially since you'll be adding an effective stiffening plate to the top section in order to mount the SC.

Got the TIG welder in last week, need to get a mask, practice a good amount, and get to it. Being a cook my finances are damn near halted thanks to covid however. Working my way there. He says the response is fine, no issues down low, so why bother having a manifold at all IMO? I'm likely going to attach a 0.375 cut off from an MDX spacer to aluminum 1/4" and build up from there. I dont have access to any laser cutter, milling equipment, etc. My town is pretty barren for car fabrication. Everybody here is bolt and go, usually through a mechanic they paid and no knowledge themselves. ITS A DAMN SHAME!
Just broke down the first motor I blew in my 7G accord, spun cylinders 2&5s rod bearings. Everything else intact, including my ported, valve jobbed, decked heads. Going to try and see if using J30a4 rods & crank in a J32a3 will bring down CR at all, if it's even compatible, and once I report the heads more aggressively on exhaust, use the swapped stock heads to build the SC mani around.
Just gotta learn to TIG first XD
