Wall E,

I use the "Display" and "Find" commands a lot. You can use the "Display" command when you want something shown on the Nav Screen. Use the "Find" command to locate anything close to where you are...like Chinese Restaurants, Grocery Stores, etc. Just say, "Find Chinese Restaurants in the area." Or "Display ATM's", which will show the ATM's on the Navigation Screen.

I also like radio commands like, "XM Channel 26". Or "FM channel 101.1"

"Voice command help" will bring up commands on the Navi screen, or you can use the "info" button.
Also, pages 85+ of the Navi manual have a list of various voice commands: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...505N00078A.pdf

call/dial [name or number here].... only because it never seems to recognize half of my contact list.
Sometimes... it dials home or the wrong contact or prompts me to delete. Odd.

I find that I use "Radio Select [band]" fairly often (eg, "Radio Select XM-1"). I find that the local traffic reports on WTOP are more useful than XM's, so I will frequently want to flip between 103.5-FM and the music stations I listen to on XM. It's easier and faster to use the voice command than it is to hit the "MODE" button, especially in traffic when I don't want to look at the display to confirm that it changed.

"Rear defrost" is useful to avoid having to reach across to the passenger side of the Navi screen; so is "Climate control defrost."

I've also used "Find nearest ATM" a number of times, although this command's utility is limited in that it doesn't provide an easy way to filter the ATMs by bank (so as to avoid ATM fees).

HAHAHA Disco LMAO!! That is a good one. I am going to use that one next time I have my friends in the car.

I don't use the voice commands too much to be honest, too many errors. I use it for the HFL of course but navi-wise there is one command I love to say and it understands me EVERY time because it is so simple: I just say "GO HOME" and it takes me home from wherever I am. I love that! My friends usually say WoW cool! to that one!

or you can combine both of these and say "CD. Play disc #, track #". It will change discs and go right to the track on that disc that you chose.

I also like "Radio. 100 point 7, FM"

In Disco's video it looks as though he hit the HFL button, rather than the Navi button?

I assume this stuff only works if you have Navi? Right?

With non-Navi, all I am aware of is HFL voice prompts to make calls and edit address book etc. You can't change stereo or HVAC settings, etc.?

Someone please tell me if I am wrong!

When i say "fuck you" my radio turns off. not sure if this is a programming thing, or the fact that i sometimes do not speak very clearly.

I looked at the video again. That's a TSX, which explains the different controls (no HFL). Still pretty damn funny. I tried "find nearest brothel" once and it gave me directions to the Super 8. "Find nearest gentlemen's club" didn't work.

During navigation, when for one reason or another, you take a route other than what the Navi planned, you will often hear:

"When possible, make a legal U-turn"

OR

"Procede to the highlighted route for guidance to begin"

This will go on incessantly and can be very annoying.

I have found that using the voice command, "Shut the fuck up" does not work.

Following on Bearcat's last post, I've found that if I call the HFL lady a bitch, she just says "Pardon?" or "Please repeat."

(BTW, I assume your username is a reference to the football team that will hopefully demolish VPI in the Orange Bowl!)
