Vent Panel Puller 07AAC-S3VA100

Has anyone ever pulled the top portion of their center console? The manual says use this part to pop the clips (Vent Panel Puller 07AAC-S3VA100).

It looks like just a piece of metal with a bend at the end. HondaParts.com wants $18 + $12 shipping for it (http://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine...C-S3VA100.html)!!

If you have pulled this part of your console and did not use this puller unit, what did you use and how did it work for you?

You really don't need that tool, I'll try to find the video I had on this and post it on th web for you.

1- You need a small screw driver and a towel
2- When all the Stock radio and console are removed simply insert the towel and the screw driver inside the down/left corner and PULL UP
3- Dont be scared but be carefull not to scratch your dash and it will simply pop out!!

Let me find the video and I'll post it here!

one overlaps the other so it's best to remove all of the right side. The left side isn't quite as bad. In other words, yes

I'm sure people would appreciate that!

BTW, F1 back on the island in 2010! Haven't been in several years so I think I'm going to grab some tickets soon.

Nice video. I was scared to mar my dash even with a towel. I have taken out the vent a few times and believe it or not I find somehow to always grip it just right with my bare fingers and yank it out.

Just be careful, I always hear clips dropping behind whenever I pull my dash. That's a surefire way to develop some dash rattles
