ok so i got jl audio door speakers and tweeters the tweeter were put on dashboard and at first they sounded great. after like 3 months or so it sounds like more sound is coming from passenger.

so i think speaker blew out but i was told when speaker blows out you'll be able to tell because just staticy lousy noise comes from it. they guy at shop told me it sounds how it does because of how speakers are set up but i don't think so because it never sounded like that. anyone know what would be it? i think maybe its just unwired so when i go back to get an amp installed for speakers ill tell them to make sure all wiring is connected.

 

i have jl audios door speakers and tweaters aswell and then i got two 10" kenwood subs but usually only use one cause two is a little to much. i dont know the watt output of jl audios but i am probably gonna get an alpine amp for speakers for 200 with installation does this sound good? i like system up until 2weeks ago like i said but u guys think i should get different subs or a different amp or is alpine amp good for this set up?

....can i get help with both? more bummed out with sound of speakers then amp i dont know why sound is mostly coming from the passenger side so that would be most important to figure out. the low sound from speakers on front driver side.

 

Sigh. If it doesn't sound the same then theirs probably something wrong. Just put your ear up there...hear anything???????


...I think you have a long way to go. Research and learn is my best advice.

 

Which JL speakers do you have? Put your hand over the bad tweeter and see if it makes a difference. Speakers can blow and produce no sound but unless they were wired wrong without a crossover, they did not blow from the stock amp power. Its probably something simple like wiring. Make sure the door speaker is playing as well.

I would always run both subs. If they're too loud, turn them down with the headunit or the gain knob at the amp. Two subs will have less distortion than one.

 

Ok so I have c2 690 tx jl audios speakers and tweaters the guy said like 60 rms if I heard right with 2 10" kenwoods sounds good to me does set up seem nice to you guys? Gonna get a kenwood amp instead he said has more power at same price he'll sell to me. He's gonna check the wiring on the speakers when he installs amp hopefully its just the wiring, I will have to wait and see.

 

That is a 6x9" 3 way speaker...so I doubt it is in the dash...or the rear deck for that matter.
