FIRST GEN tweeter replacment HELP!!

I want to replace my stock tweeters in the dash but there is a problem. Its so tight in space. When i pry the tweeter from the dash it hits the winshield and i cant get the assembly out to disconnect or replace them!!. How do u guys do this??? I tried evrytime i clean my car maybe 6 or 7 times now and when i cant get it out i just stick it back in. Does anyone here know a way to get the whole tweeter out so i can replace them or at least disconnect them? I have coaxial speakers in the door and i really neeed to change the tweeter or at least disconnect them for now. Please help me. i want to get this done ASAP!!!!!

I just twisted it around about 180 deg. then puled it out. I hope this helps, I just took mine out to disconnect them. I don't think it is the best place for a tweeter.

It's easy, there is plenty of wire in there. A couple of inches down from the tweeter there is a connector that you just unplug as you pull it out. You shouldn't have any trouble with the wires breaking, and the whole thing is screwed together (the tweeter to the grill). All you need to do is pop the grill out, twist the whole thing around, push the grill against the window and slide it out. Just do the same thing to get it back in. If the new tweeter is bigger it might be harder but I don't think it will be to rough.
