Rear deck enclosure????

I use my trunk all the time but want to get some subs put in the trunk but can't afford to sacrifice the trunk space. My question is has anyone tried to make or install subwoofers on the bottom of the rear deck.

I've done twin 10" subs up under the rear deck as well.

Kool I'm looking to do something like that. My idea is to put 2 JL audio flat subs in it. I was looking for 2 10"s but the smallest JL makes is 12's. 12tw5 I believe they're called. But how much would something like that cost because I have a guy who does cheap fiberglass for me but I'd rather go with someone who's done this exact car before. No surprises you know.

I would not recommend doing anything larger than two flat 10" subs under the rear deck. Honestly two 8" subs are ideal for that location. You want as little subwoofer movement as possible. The 13TW5 we did caused too much vibration across the rear deck and C-pillars. When we tested the double 10" enclosure we lost a lot of the flex and rattles and were able to sound deaden the car to an acceptable level.

Cost would be around $300 for a double subwoofer enclosure under the rear deck.

I like to have tons of bass in my car and I usually go with 2 12" subs but like I mentioned before I really need the trunk space. Also I'm not really worried about the rattling I'll just dynomat the whole rear deck and the c-pillars. I sent you an email with some questions.

I picked up a box made by Uncald4 using a single JL 12w3v2 and a JL G1700. I have the gains down to 1/3 on the amp and its almost too much. At full power the bass is ridiculous. He really knows his stuff and his craftsmanship is top notch. On top of that, his enclosure uses up very little space. It actually fits inside of the small trunk net.

Heres a link to his post with plenty of examples of his work. https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/custom-fiberglass-subwoofer-enclosures-358676/

Thank you for your compliments. Always appreciated.

Dynamat will not cure the rattles induced by mounting two 12" subs under the rear deck. The movement of those bigger subs actually flexes the rear deck and C pillars. Totally not worth it. My basic rule is... either you have big subs or you have trunk space. You can not have both.

Has anyone built a single 10" sealed box out of MDF to suspend from the rear deck?
