I've seen them at my dealership, but they are not cheap.

Saw this online. What do you guys think ?http://www.qualitymobilevideo.com/atl-070-06-tl.aspx

They claim to have replacement headrest that match the interior of any 06-07 TL.

Looks nice. I'd compare features and prices.

Massive waste of money. I spent that much on my ENTIRE system.....and if you are familiar with all that crazy stuff I put in my car you will see there are much better and smarter ways to spend if you have that kind of budget.

I was in a similar dilemma. I saw a link somewhere once where an OEM Acura TL headrest IS available and custom built with a LCD in it but it was also ridiculously priced! ($2k +) C'mon any sound system shop can do it for you WAY cheaper! I didn't want to even spend that much.

There are readymade LCD in replacement aftermarket headrests for CHEAP all over the internet. Just $200 a pair. If you want all those features (built in DVD etc.) You can get them for around $400 a pair. Why didn't I go this route? A couple reasons. 1) I was very particular about the leather grain matching. I know the color (ebony) would probably be fine but 2 different leathers may look funny 2) I wanted to retain the tilting function. I actually use them tilted MB/BMW style! I found only a couple aftermarket headrests that can do the same thing but they had crappy screens in them. The rest all are fixed.......no thanks! 3) The shape of our OEM headrests is very unique. The back is slanted. Aftermarket screens look very flat. Good for viewing of course (LCDs need a proper viewing angle) but no style. And if you look at the front seats there is an actual notch how the headrest and seat fit together. That would look funny with an aftermarket headrest.

So I grew some balls and cut my OEM headrests. Pretty scary but it came out way better and easier than I thought. Took me just 2 hrs of work to do both! This also gave me the freedom to buy the screen I wanted, nice wide 7" ones. I bought covers for them too whenever I park in the city or valet.
