3GTL/2GRL Bluetooth Phones Compatibility...
Does anybody know if the new Palm Centro from Verizon will pair to the TL? I have a 2005 TL, and I was thinking about buying the Palm Centro. Right now I have the Motorola Krzr, and everything work fine (Display battery and Signal length).
I have been using a LG Musiq for the last couple weeks without any issue. Phone number is displayed for incoming and outgoing calls. The battery and antenna signal strength indicators work too. No problems picking up or hanging up calls.

Best phone for HandsFree Link in 2008 TL
I went through 3 phones with verizon before I got the LG VX8350.
Per Acura's HandsFree Link tech dept it is the most complete Verizon phone for the car.
Using the phone book is a great help.
I was very surprised how accomodating Verizon was

Not sure if anyone else have this issue.
LG Dare
Anyone try to link a Verizon LG Dare Vx9700? It's not listed yet on the HFL website. I e-mailed them and they said that it has passed initial testing, but testing is not complete yet so they cannot vouch.

I too want to purchase a Samsung M800 Instinct and want to know if anyone has had any success pairing this with their TL. Please let me know. they say this phone is comparable to the Apple I Phone. See the link

I have had the chance to play with the phone and it is awesome. Maybe I can try to convince the guys at the on campus store to let my try to pair a demo phone to my car.
Good news on the Samsung Instinct! I was able to convince the guys at the Campus retail store to let me pull my car up and try to pair with one of their demo phones. They said that wouldn't be a problem. I set the HFL up to pair and he was running the phone. At first it didn't pair but he restarted the pairing process on the phone and it paired immediately. Both the sales rep and I had bluetooth active on our phones while sitting in the car so that could have interfered with the pairing process on the first attempt. I didn't have time to test all the features but here is what did work:
Signal
Battery Life
Incoming #
I made an outgoing call and did an incoming call. Both worked fine. The only thing that I thought was a little on the shy side was the voice over the speaker system didn't come through as loud as normal (compared to my Katana). It's possible it could be that it was due to calling the demo phone from my phone which my car also recognized as being present or maybe the instict had the headset volume turned down. Since I wasn't handling the demo phone didn't have a chance to experiment further.
Hope this helps anyone interested in that phone. I know I'll be purchasing one as soon as employees are allowed to. I'm so glad this works with our HFL! I would have been so disappointed if it had not.

LG Vu?
Does anyone have the LG Vu and does it work with their TL? I am going to be switching my cellphone carrier to AT&T in a few months and am looking at getting the LG Vu (model number cu915 & cu920). I have a 2004 TL and currently have T-Mobile and am using a Samsung t-809 which works for incoming and outgoing calls (although it says it is not supported). It only shows incoming or out going numbers, no battery or signal strength meter.
Hopefully someone has the LG Vu with AT&T and can confirm whether it works or not with a 2004 TL. It is not listed on the Acura Bluetooth HFL webiste at all. Thanks in advance for anyone that can confirm!

I bought a Motorola Z6cx for use on Verizon Wireless last month; this is the "world" phone that can use the CDMA and EV-DO networks in North America as well as the GSM networks everywhere else (if you pop in a SIM card). Phone has NO camera, something I've wanted for years. Works fine so far with the HFL with one bug—the MID always shows the "Roam" indicator (an "RM" directly underneath the signal strength meter). This is odd because the phone itself has never showed "Roam" since I got it. Obviously, the mere fact that the HFL says "Roam" doesn't mean you're necessarily roaming, but this could be a potential annoyance for users who live in areas where they might frequently enter roaming territory. I need to check the manual to see whether the phone provides any sort of audible signal when you enter roaming territory (or whether there is an option to have it do that); if it does, this would render the issue a total non-issue for me.
Otherwise, I've been quite chuffed with this phone, and the only problem I've had is that I need to remember to turn off the Bluetooth when I get out of the car. My prior phone, a RAZR V3m, turned off the Bluetooth automatically.

me too, all worked without a problem. it does at times tell me that it is either out of range or there is no bluetooth device to link too, but it will usually work after a few tries. this is a great phone btw...

iPhone 3G
Sorry if there's a huge post on this but couldn't find it. I have a 2006 TL and just got the new iphone 3g and it seems to be able to recognize it on the HFL and the phone, however when I give it a name to store it, it just completely quits out of the Phone Setup process. I have tried it over and over.
Anybody else have this problem and is there a solution?
Thanks in advance.

I think this is my first post!
I am trying to figure a way to cheat the contacts import feature for th HFL. I must use Windows Mobile device for work (need active sync) and they will not push bluetooth (opp profile), none of the active sync devices will do this from what I understand.
My thoughts were to buy a bluetooth phone for my wife that is opp profile compatible and add my contacts to her phone and then push my contacts to the HFL. Here is my question, if I am successful, can I then pair my bluetooth windows mobile device to my HFL and then call on the imported contacts from my wifes phone? Are the contacts and number stored in the HFL able to be used with more than one paired bluetooth device?
In otherwords, pair 2 phones (mine and my wifes) and use the contacts imported to HFL from her phone, on both phones?
I would appreciate any input or suggestions on how to get the better part fo 75 contacts into my HFL making my job in field sales MUCH easier and safer.
Thanks all!

It seems as though you should be able to...
I have a Treo 800w which is windows mobile as well... First i was able to transfer my entire phone book over with no problems. When I transferred the phone book, you click search phonebook and then it'll ask you which phonebook, you'd select your wife's, but you could still call on the active phone (which would be yours). I imagine this would work... If you'd like I could perhaps try this at lunch, since my phone is paired. I'll just pair a friend's phone and see if i can call a number from my phonebook on their phone.
