I agree. I'm in IT. I'm a great developer and analyst, but what really pays off is I understand the business' language and goals and can translate back and forth between them and the blinders on technical folks who just know code and don't understand the business side of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing those guys as I wish I could go back to that. It was a lot less stressful then what I do now.

I don't have a masters degree and my pay is comprised of a base + a set bonus amount. With the yearly bonuses I am up over 100K (my base is over 90k). The experience and the networking you do is what matters. None of the companies ask me what my education level is anymore, it's all about experience and the right references.

No CC debt, just car (8k down) and student loans. Plan to pay off car when I cash out my remaining stock options as the student loans have a lower interest rate.

The TL was my first purchase of a car over 30K. I'm extremely happy I chose it.

I'm a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. I bought my 2004 TL a week ago for $17,500 with 96,000 miles on it (Silver/Black) w/ navi.

Let's see: I'm single, own my house, have a 95 Legend Coupe in the garage, and can't wait to customize the TL.

I agree with some of the other posts I have read on here. Higher education is definately your best friend long term.

Well I hope at least you can talk to girls! LOLZ Good work with all of your success.

it's well worth the hard earned money/credit

We had to sell off our 99 TL and trade our 00 Maxima, but it was worth every red cent. I used to tend bar before our son came along and my wife busts her bump being an architect. We save every moment possible and it pays off, literally.

What a long thread.

Thought I would add my info as well.

Purchased 04 TL (no navi) with 14K miles certified for $26K, down payment of 10K, about 9 months ago.

Monthly payments of $350.13 for 5 years(I wanted it exactly 350, but oh well)

Just turned 24, Personal Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase, Queens NY.

Annual income of about $55K base + bonus.

Just wanted to add that this forum is great.

I'm really learning a lot from all the information you guys provide here.

Thanks!

Higher education definitely didn't teach you how to spell.

For those of you making < $100K who think that everybody here makes six figure salaries, remember that those making good $$$ are the most likely to post.

I live with my mommy & daddy. I sleep most of the day, and play video games on my computer with my friends at night.

Oh, yeah, I get an allowance and that is how I pay for my car.

I'm seeing more and more <20 yr olds here. I'm thinking there are many rich parents in the world. I mean really... how can you afford a TL while still in school?

Ah... parental guilt, a great way to get an expensive car. LOL!
