You guys have to realize how dangerous it is over there. Even truck drivers get paid over 6 figures over there. Personally I wouldn't work there even if they paid me a million a year. What's money good for if you have the chance of not being able to ever spend it....

I am 32 with twin 3-year-old boys. I work at a medical center as a systems analyst programmer (computer guy). I bought an '06 TL A-Spec a couple weeks ago with no regrets after seeing the '07 specs. Job sucks... TL ROCKS!!!!

Ben

p.s. Looks like I'll be in my current job for at least the next 5 years...

I have a 2002 TL and i owe 8000 to the bank. I bought the car used 2 years before with a little high interest rate but i liked the car so i bought it. There was a 2002 Maxima right next to it with less interest rate but i chose ACURA ... i pay 327$ every month to the bank + $2400 every 6 months my college tution fee. That means i drive my car while im broke because i give everything to my mom so she pays sincse she owns the car.

Comfortably striving

I retired 7 years ago as a corporate VP of a Fortune 100 company and now do boutique strategic consulting. 6 days a month nets me more than full time did (and I did pretty well), so I have a little cash for toys. I passed on high-dollar iron for the TL because I think it is a cool little car and doesn't scream "I have money" It's also nice not to be a slave to depreciating assets. Bought right, the TL is very little more cash than a loaded Accord and has lots more entertainment value. My first Honda was a new 1974 Civic for a whopping $3400 (the deluxe edition). I still think they make the best drive trains in the world. I also have a Mercedes, but it is not the car that the TL is for twice the price.

He's not the only one.

I just graduated pharmacy school and work full-time as a pharmacist making $102,000/ yr. I didn't buy a TL, but I could have quite easily. I figured I'd be conservative for my first car, so I went with a TSX.

Ok update! I quit my hotel managment job after I was promoted several months later (quit couple months ago)...Long story

I quit without having a second thought and no jobs lined up that can give me a steady pay check unlike my security business where money comes in when I take on clients. So for a month or two I thought I was going to loose my TL since I was paying for another car and a mortgage (June/July) well its Mid September and I still have my TL and my business has never been more profitable so I am lucky.

I'm 23, i've been working since i was seventeen. i was fortunate enough to have a well paying job (about twice as much as minimum wage) I worked 40+ hours a week when i could. I made at least 8 grand just in summers alone. The majority of the money I made I invested in IRA accounts and CDs and let the build interest. I used the rest for bills and girlfriends. Last year i found out i had enough to afford this car with all the interest and money i had invest so i cashed out and got the car. i still have stuff in the bank and in new IRA accounts for retirement......I cashed out to get this car cuz i had just joined the fire dept. then....we're not promised a tomorrow so i decided to get my self something to enjoy while i can enjoy it

Seems to me that 90% of the people on here make 100k+ and have no bills....are there any other average guys like me? E-6 (soon E-7) in the Coast Guard, have 2 kids and a mortgage. No outstanding debt. Very good with money cause I don't make alot! I think alot of people on here are trying to impress one and other. Why? Maybe I'm wrong?

Appraisal is the place to be, our appraiser does VERY well! Its great because you basically charge whatever you think they will pay, and have rush fees and other stuff, its really nice, we are also looking into starting appraisals, and we are going to hirea few realtors to work with us soon, so we can actually do everything in house, to get the best prices/deals for people who have trouble getting a house, or need help with credit

36 year old, orthopedic surgeon. 2003 911 turbo and 2004 Mercedes E500. Also own 3 motorcycles (two sportbikes and one V-Rod Harley.)
Sold the E500 for the TL.
Bought the TL based mostly on the hands free phone and controls.
Nice car that does not scream money. That's what the Porsche is for!
BTW, last year was above 300K!
That's the benefit of higher education.
