Hello I'm 22, make 61K per year, just graduated in Dec 2005 and I work as a Electrical Engineer in Tucson, AZ. Been here for about 3 months now. Cost of living isn't as high as most places people on here live. I don't have a Acura, but I do have a 2006 Maxima with all options except rear shade and rear heated seats which was bought back in Jan. I feel I shouda bought a house first though. Only debt I have right now is car and student loans.

I'm 18. Don't want any flaming but I pay for the car when I can. I took a loan from the bank of Mom and Dad. They felt bad because my first car was a 2000 civic with 113,000 miles on it and the engine blew. So they made a deal with me and I ended up with this car and couldn't be happier!

1. Negotiate the price down to 30.3k (w/o nav.)
2. Get $8300 for your 01 TL with 110k miles
3. put a little extra down
4. 5.69%
= $316/mo for 60

Making minimum wage of $6.50/hour. With zero down and not eating/drinking/breathing, I figured out I’ll pay it in 3 years.

We're getting pretty far off topic here, so I deleted some posts. If you can't find your post, this will explain it.

We don't mind a little humor sometimes or some conversational posts, as long as they stick to the subject, but we are trying to maintain this thread so it is all about the question asked. Hope you don't mind.

If you look through this thread you will see that I have had to do this from time to time, so don't take it personally.

You're 23 and already an IT manager making 60k. That's not bad money. When I was your age 10 years ago out of college I was making 45k and driving a really sweet Honda Civic. Since then I've driven BMW M3 and Audi A6, but I learned that I don't need to show off. Acura offers luxury at an affordable price and sitting on SoCal freeways you need a cushy chair and something to entertain you like XM radio and all those cool buttons to push.

I'm 27 years old living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a Registered Nurse (I know, I know - Gaylord Focker) and I make approximately $105,000/year without overtime. I'm going to Acura dealerships in my area on Thursday to purchase my 2006 Acura TL, 5AT with Navigation and I'm excited as hell.

My first love is the e46 M3, but since I just closed on the escrow of my first home last month, I had to put that dream on hold for a bit.

Glad to be part of the forums. Looking forward to learning a lot of things here.

That is just FUNNY if you look at Average % of income in the United States ONLY ABOUT 8% break the 100K a year and it seems that the 8% all seem to OWN ACURA TL?? Just sort of funny how everyone if they really do make that MUCH are all in this FORUM.
All you guys from Texas should try living on either coast in major metro areas where housing cost index is the highest - then you could probably get the idea why even middle class with 6 fig salaries are struggling here

OK, me - IT engineer, wife - IT, salaries are where they suppose to be for NY metro, 1 kid, 1 babysitter 5 days a week, $3500 house payment for next 28 years (gotta love NJ property taxes, hey Texas ppl, how about paying $11K per year for a 35yo house on 0.35 acre?), 15K down on 04TL and $442 monthly pmt for 5 years.

Considering moving to Denver, anybody knows good head hunter there?

Teacher- 40 K

Bowling Coach for school- 6K

Tutor- 500/ mo. income

Struggling to afford the TL, not so much the car, it is my insurance payments (340/mo.) because of my poor driving record, but I just bought the TL in August and the driving record will be clear in December which means a big discount.

Occupation / How do I pay for my TL?

I live in the Boston Metro area (high cost of living index) ; I'm an I.T. contractor so my wage varies per assignment. However I've learned how to manage my money over the years and maintain my debt to very little while trying to get the best outta life (thus the 06 NBP TL 5AT w/Navi). I got $13,500K for my 03 Exploder, put down $1971.00 and am financing the remaider @ 4.9% for 60 mos = $360.00 monthly. I'm a step 9 insurance-wise so it's not bad either .
