A bitmap is a type of graphic composed of pixels (picture element) in a grid. Each pixel or "bit" contains color information for the image. Bitmap graphics formats have a fixed resolution which means that resizing a bitmap graphic can result in distortion and jagged edges.
Some common bitmap formats are GIF, JPG or JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PICT, PCX, and BMP. Photo-editors or image-editing such as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Photo-Paint are designed for creating and editing bitmap graphics.
OK, it's time to charge for such lessons

Thanks.
Thanks.
Good Luck.
Krafcik, do you know basic Photoshop?
Find a high resolution Type-S emblem (or take a photo of yours), on a transparent layer, paste the image, cut it to edge, save as CMYK.... This is the first step, 2nd step requires to you vectorize the image.. This is what the shop is offering to do for the $$$.. What is vectoring? It will basically allow the shop to losslessly enlarge image and dpi.
Tell the shop to stop being lazy, and that you have a Acuzine awaiting on the results

I have a vector graphic of both the 2nd and third gen type S logos I made when I was selling type s decals. Took me a long time to make them though. What do you need these for? I dont get it.

Krafcik...are you going ahead with this project? If you get the bitmap file, you said it will cost less. Did they say how much less? As you and I have PM'd, $195 is what I was quoted here in KC too. mmade felt that was a pretty fair price. I'm just not sure if I want to spend almost $200 on this. Where do you stand on yours?
i gave the shop the green light. The middle section of the leather is being replaced, stiched with the logo, then re-sewn to the headrests.
I don't know how much cheaper future headrests will cost, but i will find out for sure.
