So my side engine mount has come loose, the bolts came right out of the threaded bracket below. As you can see in the picture, the bolts (which are fine) are out of the bracket, and that top bracket is ok, but the bottom part with the threads is obliterated. Has anyone ever replaced this? Simple procedure or does it require removal of the accessory belt?
2nd image is after I removed the mount itself and the top bracket. Can't seem to figure out how to get that bottom part off, I'm hoping it's not part of the engine block??

steel bolts over torqued on aluminum bracket probably. there is a pretty low torque spec on those.
long bolts with a nut will work while you source a replacement.. just be sure to use same strength or greater bolts and nuts. i've had to do it on an old motor that someone ruined a bolt hole on the engine side mount. ran it for years. shouldn't have to drill it unless its cross threaded. use the same thread pitch and the nut will grab it at the bottom.
I repaired the threads on mine. Definitely verify the threads on the bolt if you go this route but I am fairly confident they were M10x1.25 (M10 is usually M10x1.5 so it is a fine thread bolt). I used a heli-coil style threaded insert. It's been over a year so I can't quite remember the details, other than I had difficulty getting a drill in there to drill the hole. I either removed it, removed whatever was in the way to be able to get the drill in there, or just ran the tap in without drilling. Other than the initial trouble drilling it wasn't terribly time consuming/problematic and it's held up fine for probably a year and a half now.
Those threads look pretty trashed though, if you are considering a repair vs replace I'd definitely ensure the holes aren't larger than the drill diameter for the heli coil.
I also snapped a bolt inside that bracket.
I also could not fit a drill/extract in that space (I did not trust my abilities) so I took it to a shop to extract the bolt
I replaced the bracket your talking about, I removed the belt, power steering lines, power steering pump and the Power steering reservoir to access it. Also had to remove the top timing belt splashguard to get to those bolts.

Thanks! That seems like a good bit of work. Is there any video or instruction guide you know of or followed when you did this? I'm handy but I lack the knowledge at the moment to tackle the removal of all those components, but would like to attempt myself to save the $550 in labor they wanted to charge me at the shop.

I use Acurazine and YouTube. There may be related videos idr. Just kinda got to start the project and remove what’s in the way as you go. Have confidence in yourself label what goes where as you go if you think you will forget, take pics as reference. There’s videos on how to replace that motor mount. It’s nice to have a partner for extra hands or what not.

Find a timing belt video on youtube, everything that needs to come out also needs to come out for the timing belt.
You can do it! It's easier than you think to replace that mount and bracket. Here's a good video, I tried to timestamp it. At the end of the video he puts it back together too. Good luck!
