very nice undying. Are your sidemarkers USR? What color do they look in person at night 5k or 6k?

Damn those suckers are bright! Anyone got pulled over yet?

From what I read, am I correct by saying that the 6,000 K matches factory HID's the best?

Yes, they are USR...I'm not certain, I've never really payed that much attention to them.

6k looks a lot like 5k to me. There is no blue in them at all.

Well what I meant to ask is, does your USR side markers match your tritons front switchbacks? If the 6K tritons look closer to 5k and your USR side markers look just as white as your tritons than I would say the USR are close to 5k. If the USR has a tinge of blue or purple I would say its 6k+

I hope you get what I mean lol. I'm in search of new front side markers that will match my 5K switchbacks. I bought the Oznium LED module from oznium.com but not happy with the outcome.. The LED module is no where near pure clean white but closer to purplish white

I'll be sure to check back once I really look into it. I'm not one who's really anal about the side markers matching, just really the bulbs in the headlight.

lol yeah when it comes to lighting I'm super OCD. I like my LEDs to match one another as close as possible. When you get a chance to look, please let me know. I would appreciate it!

Well the Guinea Pigs got the primitive model

NEW! Smaller Control Module with built in Resistor. No Hyperflash! The load can easily be removed if desired.
NEW! Automotive Weatherproof Connectors
DRL Smart Control. Automatically switches high input DRL signal to white LEDs

More cash brings you the updated versionkinda sucks

I've read this whole thread and I'm still a little confused! Sorry guys, I'm not the smartest bulb (bad pun I know) in the bunch when it comes to lighting!

Can someone help answer my questions below??

I have a '07 TL-S. I would like to get these V3 Triton bulbs because they look awesome. I would like to get the switchbacks for the front parking lights and the front sidemarkers, and then the red LEDs for the rear.

So that would be a total of 6 replacement bulbs; what all do I need to purchase from VLeds to get this done?

Also, am I correct in stating that there is not a V3 Triton bulb to replace our DRL lights?

Thanks in advance everyone!

i don't have them but i think you can get switchback sidemarkers from USR. Here is a thread to check out, I think you need some modifications for the type s:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/usr-switchback-led-side-marker-light-official-release-858567/

for the v3 triton switchbacks, here is the link. i have the 5k switchbacks and i absolutely love them. they are almost brighter than the headlights (you can wire them for 50% output also) but look really good and are of very high quality. for the type s it's the 1157 version. i also got the resistor kit (20 bucks) but I think the new version they are coming out with (yup they made a new version again) has the resistor kit integrated in the wiring already instead of a separator resistor box like my version (both are plug and play):

http://www.vleds.com/v3-triton/bulb-.../v3-wa-5k.html

there is no v3 triton for the DRLs yet. but they do have a new bulb coming out that is the brightest i have ever seen for a DRL and looks great in pics. i have it on pre-order and they should ship at the end of this month. keep in mind that you need a DRL kit (ijdm or jlc leds) to give the DRL LEDs full power and no dashboard light. here is the link for the new DRL LEDs vleds is coming out with (socket 9005):

http://www.vleds.com/5k-white-10-led...-pair-b-o.html

PRE-ORDER ONLY
ETA UPDATE:
MID APRIL
So it looks like it's going to be 2 and 1/2 months from my pre-order date until I get them now. Sigh... This is starting to piss me off. Back when I pre ordered them (In January) they said expected Mid feb. Than changed to end of Feb. Than Mid March. Than End of March. Now it's Mid April ?!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think, if I understand correctly, you would only need 4 bulbs for what you're looking to do. The front parking lights and the front side markers are the same bulb + the rear turns = 4 bulbs total.

he's talking about sidemarkers. they are different (side of the car, not in the headlight compartment) so 6 "bulbs"

Again, correct me if I'm wrong but the side markers are a LED unit. They don't make a TV3 for that application so he'd have to do a lot of custom fabricating to get the TV3's to fit in there. They are quite large.

THis sucks! I just called less than a week ago and Mark said they'd ship "next week." That would be THIS week.

Thanks for the help guys. Yeah, I finally figured out that I would need 4 bulbs and that the front sidemarkers are LED. I can't just put a new "bulb" in them.

What would I do without ya'all?!? LOL!

haha as long as you got it that's all that matters. i put bulb in quotations because the sidemarkers aren't bulbs haha. good luck!

PS, can you PM me details about your hydro dipped stuff? i.e., pics and prices?

I finally got a email stating that VLEDs finally shipped my 9005 DRL lights. It says they shipped the old 6LED 725LM versions but when I e-mailed them a week ago they said I would get upgraded to the 10LED 850LM version one automatically.

I'll just have to wait until saturday and find out

Im expecting to see some pics ASAP of the DRL's!!

So it turns out that they have slightly revised the V3 Tritons. Im wondering if it would be worth it for me to sell my original ones and get the latest versions when they finally become available.
Im still a bit confused though at the actual changes. So do the revised V3's still require the use of a seperate load resistor? The email I received almost makes it seem like they do not. It also states they increased the brightness slightly.

Anymore info on this stuff?

from what i have been reading and looking at, it seems as if they took some of the electronics out of their socket and into their CNC'd box. They are putting their resistor setup in that box as well so a separate CLS module won't be needed. Wires will be heavier gage and there will be "automotive weather protected" connections. Light output is supposed to be more as well, which I think is ridiculous since these things are already amazingly bright.

i don't think it's worth getting the new ones if you are already set up with your old ones. There are some improvements but nothing super crazy compared to the "new" ones we just got. Plus I have washed my car and with the heat shrink applied, there have been no problems of any kind so far.

i will post some pics when I switch my 6k DRL LED towers with the 5k "super bright" LEDs from vleds...pretty excited to see how they turn out!

the new tritons tend to be less K than they are stated. 6k is more like 5k, and 5k is more like the HID headlights (4300k).

it's not advised to run LEDs for the fogs. I run the hoen xenonmatch which are pretty close to the HID headlights, but they have slightly less intesity (not as bright) compared to the stock fogs

So I just got my order of 9005 DRL 5k White LEDs in the mail. As I expected, they set me the 6LED 725Lumen version one that I originally pre-ordered instead of the new 10LED 850Lumen version ones.

But yet the guy that replied to my e-mail said I would be upgraded to the newer 10LED versions automatically at no extra cost.

I'll post pics in a few minutes of the bulbs. I'm going to install them too

I went ahead and installed them to see if they were 5k and honestly it doesn't appear to be 5k to me. It looks a bit purple-y but maybe because it's a very sunny day outside right now at 2pm.

I'll post pics when I get home later tonight. I took pics of day time already, but by tonight I'll take some night time shots to compare it.

Got my DRLs in the mail today too (these are not v3 Tritons), and I also received th 6 LED version. Called vled and they said there was a mix up with shipping and I can send it back with a form for an exchange. He said take some time and see if I like them since the other ones (10 LEDs) aren't shipping for a few weeks. I'll post some pics when I install on Sunday!

Thanks for the reminder. Notice to those reading, when we talk about the DRLs we are not talking about the V3 Tritons!

May I ask why it's not advised to run LED fogs?

I've been running them for a couple of months now, the 6k version. I think they look awesome.

It can be done but I was mostly referring to the function side of it...just not very bright for foggy nights.

I don't doubt it looks good

Just thought I'd save you $150.00 and some disappointment.

One of them started acting up, not flashing the amber, than the other side started doing what's in the video.

when looking closer do those V3s shine 360 degrees or they rather look like a focused point of light?

I use older Vleds tower switchbacks in my ZDX and their light looks pretty dispersed like vleds drl towers which match match each other. I am thinking about swtching to V3 but afraid to get an ugly focused point

Quick Reply: Received my VLED Triton V3 LED park and turn bulbs! A few pics inside!
