Power Mirrors
The problem is getting the glass off as to not crack the mirror. There is a thread that shows the appropriate pressure points to mitigate breakage.
it's not the switch. You have to take the glass off, clean the actuator, re-grease and move the mirrors around in different position points to work it in and it will move quietly and fluidly again.

it might, or you can spend $50 and get new actuators from acura and swap them out and the mirrors will work perfectly again. The motor binds and the computer thinks the mirror is not in the right position thus causing movement.

I'd prefer Shin Etsu Silicon grease over lithium based formulas for applications on plastic. I bought a tube many, many, years ago to do the same job on my mirrors. Works great on all manner of things in the car especially keeping weather seals supple. Also keeps them from getting stuck to the door jams in wet/freezing conditions if you are in a cold climate. It's available on Amazon and one tube is a lifetime supply. But you are prob fine with what VictorTL pointed out. I think you will just get more uses out of the Shin Etsu.

Also note, if the mirror is constantly wondering around doing odd things, it probably isn't the gear/lube issue. It is probably worn or dirty contacts. If it gets stuck and clicks, that is the gear/lube issue. I have had both issues at different times over the years.
As others have said, taking it apart, cleaning and adding a light coat of grease to the moving parts does have a good chance to buy you some time. I did that a couple of times on mine and finally that stopped helping and my mirrors just moved to the wrong spot on a regular basis. That was the electrical contacts being worn/dirty. I ended up buying new units and putting them in, which was the final and best solution overall. The parts are readily available, either via online or your local Honda dealer. Pretty sure there are a couple of threads that clearly identify the current part number since the original one is discontinued. The same one fits both sides.
