Hey guys, I just picked up an 03 tl. Everything is fine but I noticed the power mirrors are not functioning when I put the car in reverse. It was working when I was test driving it. Any ideas on what may be the problem? Thanks
So apparently there is a bulb inside the switch but it is soldered on a circuit board and will need a 12 volt replacement from an electronic parts store. The cap for the heated mirror button can be gently pried off with a small flat screwdriver then the 2 halves of the switch can be separated with a small sized pry bar. That will access the circuit board and a new bulb soldered onto it. The little green condom can be removed for more light.
