the white LEDs look good, but do they bother the driver at night from the high intesity white colo. and do you think the W6 for the front are too bright or not?

They're not too bright, actually its less brighter than the normal bulbs, But they look cool.
Oh I finally put in my LEDs and they look great, White in domes and Blue leds in doors. Honestly the BLue leds(in the doors) look tight at night, during the day they look like hmmmm I guesssss rice(just see a light faint blue circle), but noone notices it during the day.
Also I found it REALLY REALLY hard to take out the LEDs I inserted into the Rear domes. The bulbs were easier, well I just used the shrink tubes (thanks GotJazz, It worked great), but its impossible to take out the rear leds, well at least for me.

As far as the white led's for domes, it actually worked out good as far as night driving. I find that I can drive much more comfortably with the WLED-W6's in the domes than with the stock bulbs in. Overall amount of lighting, even with the 6 led bulbs is down compared to the stock bulbs.
Of course, passenger will have a bit more trouble reading at night. Overall light is diminished as LED's throw their light forward while the stock bulbs radiate. Since LED's don't radiate light to the sides, much of the reflected light doesn't exist so you end up getting a fairly focused light pattern. Very cool looking IMHO but not quite as good for readability.

I personally had no problems with it whatsoever.
I think guys with larger fingers will have a harder time taking the bulbs out. I'm a rock climber (finger strength) and I have small fingers. I did find that if I worked the tips of my fingers closer to the base of the bulbs (where it inserts into the socket), it was easier to pull out. Again, easier for guys with smaller fingers.

anybody tried replacing the rear or front turn signals with LED's?
I know they sell a module so it would not blink so fast.
(because of the difference in resistance)

Should I get the WLED or the TLED ones and also what are you'll suggestions about the Blue (wled b6) VS. White (wled w6) FRONT dome lights?

Condoleeza Ricer sez:
"Try replacing the side marker lights in the front with blue LEDs."
Is that over the top? Do they fit? Is it legal? :cop:
Inquiring minds want to know.

hi guys,
i took a gamble and bought this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEBWN%3AIT
because the supercheapLED's site is out of the 6-LED white ones. it's a gamble but i'm willing to risk 8 bucks, not that big of an investment. 9 LEDs, if that's true that should be kinda cool to see.
will report back when i get them.

I must be pretty friken stupid. Where is the hood light? I open my hood and no light turns on. Have not found it in the manual yet. Only on page 60 something (not much bathroom time yet). Is there a trick or am I just missing one. I feel totally dumb asking this, sorry.

how many LED's did you use per bulb ?
were they WLED ?
maybe the 9 LED version would work better...

Side Marker Light swap?
Has anyone changed the bulbs in the front fender side marker lights to LEDs?
I think that would be cool to have blue bulbs there (if they're not visable from the front as that would be illegal.) :cop:

Small fingers = small gloves
One of our members here said she got 5/8" heat shrink tubing from Radio Shaq and put it over the bulb, then turned it on. The heat shrinks the tubing around the bulb so, after you turn it off, you just tug on the tubing and take it out.
This won't work for the new LED bulbs, I suspect, since they don't get hot.

Wait ... I'd better check ...
Zip ... fumble ... fumble ... (a few nervous seconds pass)
Whew! I'm still a he.
And you're right, the new LED bulbs don't get hot enough to shrink the tubing. However, you can get 3/4" shrink tubing (the LEDs are a bit larger than the stock bulbs) and one of those fireplace/grill butane lighters and shrink the tubing with the lighter to remove the LEDs easier.

Did you ever consider that maybe...... well, you know... Is it possible you are a lesbian trapped in a man's body bathed in a techno-blue LED light?

as far as the white light is concerned, i LOVE the white light. it is not too bright, and having the passenger light on while driving causes for little distraction (since LEDs have a very narrow viewing angle). when putting on these maplights, the light produced looks like NATURAL DAYLIGHT, rather than that yellowish garbage produced from standard filament-bulbs. I get the same light during the daytime by opening the sunroof
Also (as with the exterior LEDs), switching the lights on produce immediate light, rather than the quick fade (.2 seconds) seen in incandecents...that's being kinda picky, but when switching the light on and off quickly you definately see the difference.

hi guys, just an update. i finally got the 9-LED white lights that i bought on ebay two weeks ago. they shipped from hong kong?? anyway, i'll get a chance to try them out later today. if it looks good i'll take some pics hopefully.

oops, i was referring to the maplights, perhaps a festoon bulb would replace the visors? again I have the 2003 TL, but my current light is affixed into a tube (at the pivot point of the mirror lid) that illuminates when the lid is opened....from that, and from looking at the light itself through the diffusor, I would assume that a festoon bulb (4-LED) might work....

I installed the WLED-6s in the doors and rear License plate area. I like them both. The blue looks good with the WDP and my white/blue state plate..
I don't think its too "ricey", and I'm 40+. I just love the blue!

Front side marker light "Blue" LED mod
OK guys,
I went for it tonight and installed blue LEDs in the front fender marker lights. It was actually quite easy. Front tires had to come off, removed only two of the black pop-plugs on inner fender cover, reached up and easily popped out the lens assembly, used Dremel tool to cut open back of lens housing, removed yellow LED circuit board, removed yellow LEDs, soldiered on blue, used 100% silicone to re-seal the lens housing, plugged back in, popped back in fender, reinstalled pop-plugs, and mounted tires. First side took about an hour total - ie - configure the circuit board and ensure LED's were installed with correct polarity, basically figure-it-out-time. Side two took maybe 30 min.
I used two WLED-B4's on each side. The stock yellows were actually two 1/4 inch square LEDS but given the circuit board/wiring each was a double LED, so overall brightness of 4 per side. I compared the WLED-B4's prior and thought they matched better than 2 single LED's. Overall when finished the brightness is very close to the rear reds yet a little brighter straight on due to the focused "beam" of the WLED's. Looks pretty good though.
If interested drop me a PM - I took several pictures along the way and afterwords.
