I am pissed but shame on me for listening to a poster and not checking into it myself. Now I got to re-order the dome bulbs.

such language

Such language isn't called for, infact most of the comments were actually blaming themselves for not checking themselves on the correct light bulb size.

take it easy....

ok i got my lights a few days ago in the mail and installed them in about 15 minutes. i got the lights at superbrightleds. heres step by step and product by product:

DOORS:
product: T13-B6 Blue
install: very easy. i just used a butter knife, knelt down, wedged the covers off. i played with the light a little bit to see how it would come off, and with a little elbow grease i just pulled straight out and the bulb came out. just grab between thumb and index and pull (at least thats what i did). then just put in the led light staright in and put thet cover back on. as for brightness- it looks great. similar intensity as the old bulb, and the blue looks sweet with the black interior. at night it does light up the floor a little bit, and its very visible (i think 4 led would be too weak for the door light).

FRONT DOME:
product: WLED-B4 Blue
install: a little tougher but still really easy. definately use a butter knife for this one, it helps to pry off the cover. slide the knife in the the crevice on the outside edge of the cover, so on the left light the left side of the cover, right- right. it just pops right off. then take out the light the same way as in the door, straight out. my right light took about 5 minutes to get off, it was in there pretty snugly. to finally get it off i sat in the opposite seat, reached over with my thumb towards the inside of the car and my index finger towards the outside, and kept pulling and wiggling. then just put in the leds the same way. the lights look awesome, it really adds to the other blue accent lights (volume knob, gauges). as for brightness, the 4s are good if you want to drive with them on sometimes, just for kicks. they arent too bright and they dont blind anybody. the only downside is they arent spectacular for reading (id think maps are kind of hard to read like that) but thats not to say you cant read black print on a white paper without difficulty. i also found out a way to have the best of both worlds- if you ned to read a map or something where you need more intense light, just open up the sun visor and open the mirror. when you open the mirror a white light turns on and there you go.

BACK DOMES: i didnt do them because i originally was just going to do the doors and bought 2 extra lights as backups, but i ended using them for the front domes. im getting more for the domes and maybe other various lights soon.

Yes, they do. Just for kicks, I pulled out the T13's I got for my doors and put them in the domes last night just to see how they looked. They faded out just like the regular lights. And I think with using the 6-led version in the domes instead of the 4-led it would be bright enough to read by. I ordered 4 more for all the domes and will try it out to see how the whole car looks in "blue-light special" mode . Personally, I think it looks pretty sharp with my quartz interior. But who knows, if it turns out to be too ricey, oh well, its only $20 in leds down the tubes

It looks like they are the same, according to frozenpenguin. I just ordered 6 T13-B6 and 4 T13-UV6.

they can be the same or different- its all personal preference. if you read my post above i said that with 4 leds its good but not too bright, to the point that you can probably drive with them on just for shyts and giggles. the 6 led are probably too bright to drive with them on, but are also most likely bright enough to read with. its all personal preference.

Right. Any of the 194/168 type bulbs on superbrightleds.com will fit either the doors or the domes. It just a matter of what brightness you want. They have a 1 led, 4 led and 6 led bulb that will fit.

u dont think it takes the class away from the car?

make it like a fast n furious car... i have the door lights..not sure if i would like the dome lights or maybe i m just too old for that stuff...not sure if a 25 year old should have dome lights in colors...i did that with my first car when i was 17

but if i was younger i woulddef do it...seems like it would look hot as long as u still got the light u needed

Good post. I ordered 4 of them (T13-B6 Blue), but suspect I'll just install the doors, not the dome.

The glove compartment has a different size bulb. Not sure what LED replacement exists for this one if it does...

It looks much better... By doing it, I got rid of the yellowish white.

Thumbs up Just Put in the 6LED lights in Doors and front and back lights

I just put the lights in the car and they look awesome.. Anthrasite /ebony interoir with Huper optic tinted windows. It fits the car perfect and gives it a real custom look. The only thing I am going to buy is a map light if I need to read somthing, it is bright enough , but extendended reading may be hard on the eyes with the blue light.

anyone ever find out what the REAR dome lights take? i opened up the assemblies and there are TWO bulbs, one for each rear dome light. They look mike a miniature bayonet base, and are a bitch to get out. I ordered some BA9s-B just in case as I think these definitely are bayonet based.

i just got em out of the rear dome. They are in fact the 194 wedge style, NOT the mini bayonet base.
