The LEASE PAYMENT Thread
The LEASE PAYMENT Thread
OK, I've searched and all, but all I can find is what people are financing their TL's for. What I want to know is that people are leasing their TL's for.
Please put, as per example:
'03 TL-S, no navi
0 down, 36 months, 15K/year
$520/month + T/T/T
Please put, as per example:

So thats about $500 a month/42 months with no money down, about what the dealer told me today we could get on an '06.
Keep 'em coming...
Oh yea, and I guess you pay tax in the payments, just the tag/title/delivery in the first payment. Don't bother listing what you payed for tag/title, it's somewhat irrelevant.

A few more please guys... this way I know more where I can stand with the dealer.
Also it is interesting to see how some people manage to get much better deals than others...

Making it longer sometimes increases the payments. This is usually because the resale drops off quite a lot in the last 1 or 2 years of that 5 year lease I think.
Best thing is to get the number of months that makes it cheapest (usually about 36 I think) and then the lease company will often offer you a year extension at the same rate at the end of the lease.
How the Fudge did you get a deal like that? That's like Accord payments!
I think I will try and push for $450/month non navi, $490 w/ navi, w/ 15K a year and 0 down.

Wow, I bought a used Tl and I'm paying to own the prices you guys are paying to lease. SOme of you might want to look into buying them instead of leasing, too much taxes involved in certain states

Check out my site www.googlejeff.com if you need help figuring it out.

Want a fair deal? Pick out your TL and then contact dealers within a set radius that you are willing to travel to buy the car. In my case, it was 150 miles. I contacted 5-6 dealers and gave them each an opportunity to earn my business. 3 out of those 6 were willing to play and were responsive to my requests. I ended up going with a dealer in Cincy that gave me the best deal.
As long as you compare "apples to apples" (i.e. car, lease term, money down, etc..) between dealers, you'll be fine.
Like SonicDark indicated, there are too many unknowns with people just giving you their deal.
Read the info off that leaseguide website and then contact some dealers and ALWAYS have them give you the details of the lease: MSRP, cap cost, money factor, residual, etc... With that info, you'll be able to run your own numbers and determine if they are "playing with you".
Good luck!
Good point, Tripp, there are many things to consider.
Seeing what some others are paying gives you somewhat of an idea of what to look for though if you get similar lease terms and have similar credit.
...waitin to see the '07

The other day my dealer sounded like he was ALMOST ready to offer an '06 TL NAVI, 36months, 15K/yr, 0 down for $520 a month.
