G-109: DIY-Eliminate LED Bulb Induced Hyper flashing WITHOUT LOAD RESISTORS

Just installed a 0.12ohm resistor since I only have switchbacks in the front and it works perfectly. I am a happy man for now
However, I think I want to sell my switchbacks and get a different kind/brand/type. Mine light up white, then go Amber-Off when blinking. They look really really good, but I'd prefer to have it blink Amber-White.
Anyone interested in trading or buying mine? Pics/Video later tonight.

I was running a 0.12 ohm with just switchbacks and got weird blinking as far as the white coming on with type 2's.
I just installed rear LED blinkers without changing the resistor yet and have no hyper flash. I have a .24 ohm laying around if I encounter trouble but as for now I will run the .12 until then.
Will report back and see what happens.

If I have my left blinker on - it will blink Amber - off like its supposed to but my right blinker will blink white - off. It is really weird and it does it vice - versa when turning right.
So I will be installing the .24 ohm resistor to see if this problem goes away. I am not sure if the rear blinks as well. I will be testing that.
This problem is only with lights on. With lights off blinker function normally.

I am having the same problem surfingScotty was having.
I put the .24 ohm resistor in today and it didn't change anything.
Put the halogen rears back in and everything works fine.
Was running the 42 led 3528 red rear leds from ebay.
Does anyone know if running the 27 5050SMD would work better?? If not I am sticking with halogen rear blinkers.
What a nightmare.

Unfortunately I agree with you rockstar. I will not use in line load resistors.
Gonna try 1 more set of rear leds if no go then gonna track down some red halogens.
And these type 2 switchbacks from vleds are sketchy on their own. Sometimes they act like type 2's and most of the time they act like type 1's.
What I really want is a red high beam indicator. That blue really looks out of place inside my car.

From what I have seen over the years, it is usually a white bulb or LED behind a blue screen. The color you are seeing is the light shining through blue plastic. There is a possibility that you may be able to un-laminate the color from the board and replace it with red, but the odds are low in my experience.
Not much experience with that but you are probably right. Either way, it would have been super pimp if it would have been red also.
All red with a blue light is really funky and annoying. I would rather it not be there at all on my car.

^^ Yeah just get the .24 and be done with it. I have no ill effects running the .24 with just front LED's.
Yeah I will check into it. I let a friend drive my car last night to go pick up his girl and a fucking coyote ran into the side of it after he swerved to miss hitting it head on.

Messed up the driver side - side skirt. I may be able to take it off and re-install it and get the gaps back right.
Better than a head on collision with it and nobody got hurt. So it coulda been worse. Thought about an aspec kit but I am just not that turned on by them and don't wanna lose my side skirts.

You're crazy as fk...aspec is the most visually impactful mod you can do to the TL after lowering!
That said...I'd bet you can take off and put the sideskirt back on. I had to when the local Tire Kingdom fkn used the lift on my car and missed the jack point.
And to be honest, I'd be glad if the Coyote was ok AND you were able to fix your car.

Yeah it actually looks good IMO I just don't wanna do it. Yeah I was looking at it last night I think I can take it off and re-align it back. Its very noticeable to me but any normal person that doesn't drool over their own cars prolly won't be able to tell.
So I put in 27 pc 5050smd bulbs and after letting lights warm up for a couple minutes I still get the same blinking problem.
Halogens it is.

ok i just read all 22 fucking pages...god damn that sucked.
I am currently running autolumination type 2 LED switchbacks
(amber, off, amber, off), and autolumination LED rear bulbs, and I have (2) 3.5 ohm Load resistors in my truck, 1 for each side...and everything works perfectly 95% of the time.
5% of the time my front switchbacks act similar to a type 1 and go amber, quick flash of white, amber, quick flash of white...the white looks like a strobe it flashes so fast.
So, a few things...
1-does anybody have a .24 ohm resistor that I can try to mod my relay with and remove my load resistors?
2-does anyone have a type 2 LED switchback with more then 48 SMD working on a BASE TL WITH Rear LEDS, and working 100% perfectly?

I completed the relay mod and the turn signals work perfectly. But every time I turn on the headlights the whites do not light up and the #4 (small light fuse) fuse pops.cThis has becom incredibly aggravatig.
Anyone have any idea why it keeps blowing the fuse?

^^^I don't know what that means.
But, based on all the information coming into this thread lately. I think you guys would be better off doing the resistor first and see if it works. I think the problem is likely with some of these different bulbs you guys are using.

I just completed installing a .12 ohm 1 watt resistor and all went well. I currently use 18 SMD bulbs for my rear...I will play with the fronts at a later date. Just wanted to state that everything is working just fine after the resistor install.

You may be close enough considering a 5% tolerance could put you anywhere between 20.9 and 23.1 ohms. A 24 ohm resistor would be anywhere from 22.8 and 25.2 ohms if it too has a 5% tolerance rating.

I've contacted a few members that had extra .24 but non are replying. Does anyone else have spares that are willing to ship out 2 (or more if you like ) for a buck to 32608? If not I'm going to buy 50 for $3... lol
