^^^ if you plan to get the LED's upfront then get the 0.22 or 0.24 and call it a day....
if you plan on NEVER getting the LED's upfront then 0.12 will work (0.24 will work as well)...

hahaha....that is ture
Yezzir....
but remember in series and not in parallel....
so it would be like this : -=R1=-|-=R2=-
or you can just remove that 0.12 and solder a 0.24

Why? Because if you have 1 resistor soldered in place and 2 months later decide to get LEDs for the front, when you go back to solder in the other 0.12 resistor to the 0.12 that is already soldered in place, you just soldered them in PARALLEL which makes the resistance value go DOWN to 0.06.
I would recommend you to save yourself the hassle and just go ahead and solder a 0.24 resistor in place that way you are safe and can run 0 LEDs, 1 pair of LEDs for the rear, and can add LEDs for the front whenever you'd like without having to open the relay and solder again.
TWO 0.12 ohm resistors soldered in SERIES will also work.
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF TWO 0.12 RESISTORS SOLDERED IN PARALLEL - THIS IS WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO
When you solder two 0.12 ohm resistors in parallel like that, total resistance will total 0.06 ohms which WILL NOT work for FR and Rear. You need 0.22 or 0.24 which will require you to SOLDER THEM IN SERIES like this

^^^ VIET, great great pix bro....
i believe he was saying in 1 spot as in jam 2 resistors, hence i, mentioned do it in series....i doubt he meant one on top of the other but its always great to clarify and your pictures do that

I think I just F'd up the relay the first time using the 0.12 resistor. I haven't replaced the shunt resistor in the new relay yet, but well get to it next week sometime.

2007 6SMT Type-S
Here is some pics and video of what the V-LEDS 1157 60 SMT 6K switchback looks like in oem 08 type s headlights. The amber reflector is still in there and you can only see it at night and does not effect the light output.
i love this mod!

Note: I also have rear LED’s and they have never flashed any other way than how they are supposed to, even with the front’s going haywire.

Finally got around to installing my resistors today. I put 2 .12 ohm resistors in series in, works great. Thanks to Silvertl88 for the resistors and OP for making this thread.

^^^ bitch you didnt thank Niki Minaj this time around....WHY ??? WHY ???????

This is how mine looked, too. Only once the parking lights had been on for about 10-15 mins, I would turn on the (let's say) left blinker which would flash orange but at the same time, the right blinker would flash white only with less intensity. Go drive around the block and check again before you start jumping for joy.
Note: I also have rear LED’s and they have never flashed any other way than how they are supposed to, even with the front’s going haywire.

they have been working as they should for a couple days now so i think all is good but i will continue to check...thanks

Got The Midas Touch
Damn now if I could only figure out if this works for my Avalon, I loved it with my TL's switchbacks. I been searching but I have found 0 people that have done switchbacks or LEDs for their turn signals on an Avi .. It seems like I will be pioneering some things with my new car, hopefully not all will fail lol.

You have to buy a minimum of 10, which ends up costing like 4 bucks.
Then you sell your extras and profit
OR you can see if anyone has any extras

1. 120SMT bulbs from Autolumination.
Most say it's a hit and miss for autolumination but I specified the "heavy duty" ones, so they sent me those and it's been good so far! VERY bright.
I run them, and so does bforbrian who recommended them for their brightness.
It's $30 per bulb.
2. Elef bulbs.
These are the "premium" of bulbs.
VERY high quality and low failure rate.
Roger555 uses them, and he knows his LEDs.
This bulb's for reliability.
$35 per bulb

I know I've said this before, but I feel like buying every "top" LED bulbs out there and seeing which one is the best lol

i might order from VLED.....this go around....
I have all LED's in my car from superbrightleds and damn 4 years no problems....

I think I just fried it by making it too hot when I tried to put on the first resistor. It worked, but only for a little until it died. Since it worked for a little, that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

I've had this mod done since August or September and a pair of 60led switchbacks blew out within a couple weeks. I replaced them with only amber leds an so far it's been fine. I have noticed they make a weird noise when I lock or unlock the car. Anyone else experiencing this?

Guys, so yesterday I put in my switchbacks and my headlights look awesome. def getting the look i want but now my side markers are not working, both front and back. i have two .12 resistors since i have leds in front and back, has anyone else encountered this issue or have any suggestions on what could have gone wrong? cause i have no idea.

Alright, let me make a correction and I might sound dumb now too! lol! the side markers are working when I turn on my headlights but for some reason I am thinking that they blink as well when we turn on the turn signal, does that happen or am I just imagining? lol

^^^ ahahaha Awaz....you cracked me up with the text LOL....
its all in your head bro....the side markers do not blink unless:
1> you heavily mod them
2> get the USR blinking side markers (which are not out yet)....

^^^ against the laws but all you need to do is pop the middle wire out.....
so the lights wont come on, all that will happen is blink when you indicate....but since you are getting LED's it will hyperflash !!!
