yes am running a 0.22ohm resistor....you will do just fine with 1x0.22 or 1x0.24

send a PM to BUDA....i know he had some resistors...

Decide to test a one .33 ohm 1w 5% tolerence results:

Same as above

I dont know if its because all of my interior lights are leds and my fogs are hids, and running LEDs in the front (switchbacks) and back (cheap ebay one) or whatever. I am going to keep researching around -_-
I have a 2008 TL and did this mod and have LEDs all around the car and also have HIDs for the fog lights and I have no hyper flashing. It all works great. One thing that I DID notice was I went to try out some different (v-leds I think) LEDs up front that I have and with those in there the lights hyperflashed so it seems like there may be some tolerances on what the flashing module(s) take and how it is affected by power draw on the line....

Ok this is weird but my hyperflash stop. I wonder though if it was because i switch the rear leds for some brighter ones. After i did that i notice the next day with lights on or off the work normally and i havent resolder the relay yet. I will see how long this last.

Another weird experience here. Did this yesterday and it worked fine after testing. About an hour later while driving, I hit the the turn signal and it only blinks once then stops. It is the same for either side and also the emergency blinkers, one flash then nothing. Any ideas?

loose connection....either you didnt solder well or the module is not in right....

are you using a 0.24ohm or a 0.22ohm?

I just took it and flexed the resistor and put it back in and it seems to work. I'll continue to monitor it. I did manage to crack the housing for the relay

It absolutely does matter if you care about longevity. Use Rosin care, not Acid Core. Acid core will eat away at the joint/PCB over time. Most Rosin core solder already has flux inside it.

FYI, I just did this mod using a .22 ohm resistor and it works perfectly with the new VLEDs V3 Tritons, which btw are insanely bright.

Can you post pictures?? I've been waiting for someone to post pics. Did you get switchbacks or amber or red for tail lights?

hey fellas hopefully one of you can help me out. I plan on putting LED signals in the rear and REGULAR LED AMBER in the front (no switchbacks) Can someone tell me how many resistors and what size need to b installed and if there are separate relays for front and rear?

And if you guys could tell me where I could get some reliable bulbs from that aren't crazy expensive lol

Thank you!!

If you read the 1st page it tells you what you need. I think page 3 has the pictures if you do them in series. Since you are putting in LEDS in the front and back then you need at least one .24ohm or two .12ohm solder in series. There is only one turn signal relay (which also affects your hazard fyi).
However, I had problems with the .12ohm series and the .22ohm and couldnt find a .24ohm (I'm such a noob to solder) but I dont know why though. Anyway, I went with a .33ohm and that works fine for me and a buddy I did it for too.

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna try and get the .33 resistor and hope that works.

I had looked into the vleds and saw that the v3 tritons are $99! I'm all about spending the money for quality but are these things reliable? I ask cuz there is also a pair for $49

They're a newer product and currently VLEDs flagship product. I haven't looked closely yet, but I'm sure they are covered with some kind of warranty. VLED wouldn't want bad word of mouth to get out about their flagship product so early in its product life cycle so I'm sure they had that in mind and build a durable product. I don't have them myself and don't plan on getting them.

PS - Does anyone have a .24ohm resistor that they could mail me? My switchbacks will be here before the end of the week

Project04 above looks like he said he has extras...
Guys, I wouldn't recommend straying from the ones that are proven and work. You won't want to solder and have to desolder this thing...the relay is a PITA to get out, too.

^ Hey mine works just fine though i am not stated everyone else should take my route. I agree if you can find the .24ohm then use that instead. I only went with the .33ohm because there was none avaliable at Fry's or any other local electronic places (which is weird to me) and I didnt feel like ordering online for just a damn resistor.

Its only a PITA for us M/T. You A/T were soooo easy to remove with no issues.

Time it took me to remove:

M/T = 20 minutes >:/
Friends A/T = 2 minutes
