Door/Window Visor Install Help

Yo all,

Trying to get these darn OEM TL Door/Window visors installed and it for some reason is becoming a P.I.T.A. I don't seem to be getting them done right. Am I missing something?

Found the install instructions but any posts with an actual install have expired pics. Anyone have some pics of how they are supposed to look when you install? When you are done installing are the visors supposed to be close to the top of the door pillar? The shiny part? Is there a small gap?

Thanks!

There are two types of clips for the visors, the overhang ones and the ones that go under the window weather strip. The overhang ones go under the top weatherstrip on the door, while the underneath clips you need to peel back the window stripping.

This should help Will, much thanks. That first pic, those are one of the 2 clips that are closer to the side view mirror?

Yes, the first two clips closest to the mirror are the overhang ones, the last two go under the bottom window weather strip. Don't forget to peel back some of the 3M tape so you can just align the visors and rip the tape cover out and stick it on.

Also, some of the clips have screws on them, loosening them while installing will help you be able to adjust them more freely, then you can tighten them once they're on.

Installed

After a lunch break, window visors installed! Much thanks to Will for the assist with pics! I was doing the bonehead thing and trying to place ALL the clips on the lower weather strip! I was wondering why the visor was looking crooked...

Hey thatTLStho, I got the OEM ones on ebay for $157 shipping and tax already included. But I waited and finally I got a coupon for anything in ebay motors $20 off of $100, so I ended up paying $137 for a brand new OEM set. They real though, from an Acura dealer thru ebay.
