Question New '05 TL owner...

Hello everyone!

I bought a used 05 acura tl about 3 weeks ago. It has 214,000 miles on it. I am not familiar with car parts and such so please bare with me as I ask for feedback from experienced users. I would like to buy a few things for this vehicle so she may last me a another 3-5 years with this amount of miles on it.

1) Aisin TKH-002 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump (
Amazon.com: Aisin TKH-002 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump: Automotive Amazon.com: Aisin TKH-002 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump: Automotive
)

2) POWER STOP K2298 brake kit. ( https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/mor...nid=427&jpid=6 )

I would like to upgrade the shocks and struts. Any recommendations? Thanks everyone!!!

Are you looking for more performance oriented shocks, or are you just looking for OE style replacements? We also offer replacement braking components as well. Is this car mostly a daily driver or is it a weekend warrior?

It's going to be a daily driver. Since I live in the city and commute within the five boroughs I think OEM shocks would be better.

OEM shock assembly is cheap enough. $177 for each is not a big deal, BTW if you want stock shock that is...

that timing belt kit is fine.

i think i've only heard bad things about power stop but not completely sure. go with stoptech or centric for best bang for your buck

If your looking for a quality oem replacement, the Tokico HP shocks or the Koni Orange shocks will be your best bet.We have the Oranges for $84.18 each and the tokico's for $132 each.
