Does anyone know if the supernova leds can be used anywhere else?
I ask because i got myself into a situation where i bought a set from someone. One led got lost through mail because of a hole due to flimsy packaging. And the person i got them from won't respond...
I'll have to buy another set for the plates.. or maybe not because of the bad luck i've had with every of my recent car-related purchases...

Would you say the WLED-WHP bulbs are brighter and possibly whiter than the SuperNova that you use for the license plate lights?
I am currently using the SuperNova's as my license plate lights, but I don't like the slight blueish color that it gives out. I was thinking of trying the WLED-WHP bulbs since they're suppose to be between cool white and warm white.
Would you recommend the WLED-WHP bulbs for the license plate lights?
Thanks!

No the WLED-WHP are bluer than the SuperNova's. I am running the WLED's in my plates now because I don't have any luck with SuperNova's. The WLED's are not as bright.

Supernova's are definately brighter than WLED-WHP.
My SuperNovas are holding up fine, you have to lightly bend the contact wire to make sure it gets good contact. I was having intermittent outtages as well, adjusting the contact wire fixed it.
I've found the Supernova's to have some pretty wild variations in color hue. The Autolumination versions are physically identical, but seem to have a more yellow cast Halo effect.
The ebay versions, again identical physically, seem to have a more purple blue cast. I prefer the autolumination version, but not enough to command nearly 2X the price.

I emailed Autolumination about this, but they replied stating that they do not do a color test prior to shipping them out, so there's a chance that they won't match. My option was to buy another pair of bulbs and try to match it.

They don't work as well. Much larger than the SBL version, doesn't use the reflector as well.
Feel free to try it, but the SBLs perfrom better there.

ok instead of making my own thread i figure id post my dilemma here. i have had a set of PIAA TERA 6000K Ultra White LED (9005) for awhile now. for a very short time it was in my RDX. i used it for my DRLs. of course the DRL light came on inside the car. i took it off because it got kinda irritating. just today i figure ill install it in my Type-S and see what it looks like. now for the problem. i installed one side then turned on the car to see what it looks like. looks good! of course the DRL light is on inside. then i did the other side. i went to turn on the car and both of them do not work and no DRL light inside. so i thought the LED was bad. reversed the lights and both work fine. anyone have any idea whats wrong? on the same note i figured out how to get rid of your DRLs without having a light go on in the MID...

DNP,
I believe someone else had the exact same issue with the V-led DRL bulb. I think its because the DRLs are wired in series or something. he figured out a way to re-wire them on his 07. ill try to find the thread and link you.
