Acura recalls

Hi guys I registered my Acura TL on Acuras website and its shows to have two open recalls one is for TSB 08-016: Safety Recall: 2004–08 TL Power Steering Feed Hose Leak

and the other is TSB 08-013: Saftey Recall: Windshield Wiper Motor Does Not Work

My question is my car has 134000 miles on it will Acura still honor the recalls and not charge me for them??

If the recall is still open, they are required to perform the repair, free of charge, regardless of age, mileage or warranty status.

Take it in.

pretty sure recalls are a legal thing. it has to be repaired under law whatever the age of the car. Most of the time these endanger people's lives.

TSB (technical service bulletins) on the other hand, are simply internal documents for common but not life-threatening problems with our cars. It is up to the dealer's discretion to offer good-will service.

going off of what i posted earlier:

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...llproblems.cfm

However, even if you do not receive a notification, if your vehicle, child restraint, or other item of equipment is involved in a safety recall, the manufacturer is obligated to provide a free remedy.
When you receive a letter from the manufacturer of your vehicle notifying you that your car has been recalled, you should contact your dealer's service department to arrange for the recall repair. If you then have problems in obtaining the free recall repair, you can contact NHTSA immediately as explained below under Step 3. However, it is usually quicker to attempt to resolve the problem using Steps 1 or 2.

I have the "TSB 08-016: Safety Recall: 2004–08 TL Power Steering Feed Hose Leak" problem..
The thing is that my car is an American car, but I live in Canada, how do I go about getting my car serviced for this recall?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

^ Give your local acura stealership a call and explain the situation. See if they can take care of you if not drive to Buffalo (set an appointment beforehand) and get it done in Buffalo, do some shopping and drive back up.
