My spidey sense was tingling. Well, I thought it was my spidey sense, but I think it might have been withdrawal tremors.
It's been a crazy few months; much more severe than usual. Had to deal with the normal end-of-year "gotta rush and get this done now" work burrshit, normal end-of-semester school stuff, and some not so normal, not so fun, family medical stuff. But as of last Friday, we got some good news that should hopefully return life to semi-normality. Except for the rampaging, way too fucking smart for his own good, WagonJr. antics that continue to challenge my sanity.
I've been going to these support group meetings with an old friend, Jim Beam, and we've been working through things. Funny thing though, is that *those* support group meetings may require a *different* support group meeting later. Who knew!?!
So yeah, I took a voluntary vacation from the internet for a while to buckle down and focus on the IRL (which is an even bigger cesspool than this place).
Oh, and the biggest tragedy of late; I was getting ready for my group meeting and when I opened the door to greet Jim, my bomber of Rogue Sriracha Stout took a nose dive onto the tile and assploded all over the place. 99.9% wasted. I'm not too proud to admit that I did drink the small sip which remained in the broken shard of the bottle neck. FML.
I'm going to try to sneak out of work for a few tomorrow to hit the HEB in hopes they still have a bottle, plus look for that Prairie Noir. I found a location that's not exactly convenient, but what has an enviable craft beer (cuck) section. So long lunch may turn into an early quitting time. For another support meeting.
A big "Cuck You" to 2016 though... I'm going to enjoy watching it fuck off outtahere in a couple more days.
