Funny you should mention it, Adam...
it's been great, looking right, driving nicely.
I was sitting at a light with J the other night and heard something hit my car...looked and nothing...someone egged it
damn shell chipped the paint.

Anyway...going from a daily commute of 10 miles to 50 has been killing me on gas as I need to fill up every 3 to 4 days now...may not be the most practical thing to have depending on where I end up living permanently and if I keep the S2000. I also saw a totally stripped out rio yellow ap2 in the bushes about 3 miles from J's house yesterday morning. Made me cringe...

And I can't believe your car got egged. I remember waaaaay back in the day, I was about 13-14, door bell rings, I come to the front door and my buddy is standing there with something behind his back. He's like "let's go egging!" I was like "uh, man.. I dunno"

Well as he was turning around, one of the eggs in his hands slips out and splats on the concrete steps. I tell him he's a tool and to go do his own mischief. Well I never washed the egg off. Parents never noticed because they never use the front door. Eventually my mom was gardening out front and sees it and tells me to clean it up, after like 4-5 days. That stuff was like concrete. No matter how much water was used, that stuff wasn't coming off. Ended up scraping it off with a flat head screw driver. I'd be so pissed if someone did that to my car.

I can't believe the egg shell chipped the paint. I can see scratches... but man... that sucks. Where did it happen? Are you able to touch it up? I watched my buddy put touch up paint on his car, and man, what a process. Every day he would apply just an ever so small amount of paint, let it harden, then reapply the next day until it was built up. Then he would tape off a 2-3" by 5-6" square around it and wet sand it down. Looks phenomenal when done. Obviously not perfect, but he doesn't have the blotches like most people do when they apply touch up paint.

I'm sure you can find info on how to do it really nice on any of the detailing forums (assuming you aren't aware on how to do it- I'll be honest, I had no idea )
