Honestly, that Thread Starter title is stupid. Who the fuck came up with that dumb shit? They're starting to make the Soory button look like a great idea.

Actually, I think it's kinda useful when you're reading through a thread to see threadstarter. There are a lot of times I'll be reading through a thread and see people chiming in here and there and actually scroll back up to confirm who started the thread.

Really? That blows my mind that I never noticed it.
PS, I think the lima bean has a cold. Might be another reason unsettled, Joe.

Actually, isn't "2 Joes, 1 DumbRS, 1 cup" a track off of one of Beck's early albums?

Hi Yumchacha...
is your son eating everything yet and feeling great?!?!

are you feeling better?

It's hot down here again...well, it was in the 70's for a few days...so it was probably hot in your opinion the whole time.

I hate your weather. Mostly because I'm incredibly jealous.

It'd be a dream to be able to rock summer tires all year round. A guy can dream, right?

LOL...come on down...it's humid too, and really hot and annoying, but no snow, so that's a plus.

It's freezing here. Supposed to be -21C tonight. That's -5F, for those of you not familiar with the metric system.

The TL makes some interesting sounds when it's that cold out. Once I start driving and I make a turn and apply the gas a bit, I hear this horrible squeaking/chirping sound. No idea what it is. Only does it when it's cold and the car hasn't warmed up yet.

I'm sure it's fine

Was warm here yesterday... Pretty nice to be back in short sleeves. It sort of clicked last night that we're mid-january and it's still technically motorcycle weather here. Not that it really ever *isn't*, but a lot of the fair weather riders (lookin at you Hardly Ableson brubb brubbers) normally take the winter off.

Then the rain came and then the wind. We just lost about 15 degrees and it's a chilly sub-50 right now.

Got the fireplace lit (55-gallon barrel in front of the box, I mean). Brrr.

It's funny, because here, as long as there is no snow on the ground and it's above ~30F, there will be bikes on the road.

I dunno how they do it. It's fucking cold. Try driving in weather like that with the windows down. Not enjoyable. At all.

I'm surprised more guys don't die. There will be a shit ton of gravel on the ground, plus cold as fuck summer motorcycle tires, and yet these guys ride on.

I thought that at first, but it's dependent on which way I'm turning. If I turn left, it makes noise from the left side. If I turn right, it makes noise from the right. It did the same last winter also. Almost sounds like a bushing rubbing against something. I replaced them all this summer though and nothing changed. I dunno.

I'm not too concerned about it. Like I said, it only does it when it's super cold out and nothing seems to be out of place. I just figured it might be a characteristic of a 10 year old car

J, take another pic of that tool chest. That color looks awesome. Did you paint it? I remember you saying you found that thing somewhere, or something. I finally got a tool chest for xmas this year. Nothing fancy- it was literally the cheapest one I could find that was 27" wide. Good ol' Home Depot's Husky brand

I guess you guys are lucky I decided not to post the one I took of my ass that I sent my mother saying "thank you mom, selfie stick works!"

Hmmm...that's odd that it would be one side vs another. Do you guys up North have to use special non freeze transmission fluid?

I paid 60 for the bottom at a pawn shop (from 1975ish).
I paid 150 for the topper on ebay (1953).
I paid about 30 in odds and ends like paint. both started red, I liked the throwback seafoam green
I paid 80 for the butcher block.
I paid 120 for the aluminum drawer handle trim.

close buddy hooked it up with whatever he still had in stock that would fit from snap on since they guarantee for life.
Free drawer liners
Free drawer slides
Free castors
Free handle
Free locks
Free emblem (although I opted to refinish and use the OG's)

That said, I started out buying it because I didn't want to spend that much money. Husky works great and probably has ball bearing drawers.

I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, Husky is Home Depot's own brand, and they likely outsource the production to the cheapest manufacturer. I ended up buying it because a friend of mine has a Husky tool chest he's been using for the last 2 years and he's never had issues with it. Being a casual wrencher, it was good enough for me.

J, it does have ball bearing drawers. I'll take some pics of it when I get home tonight (studying at work still ). Nothing fancy, but it does the trick. I might end up having to buy a middle section, just to add a couple drawers. I currently only have the top and bottom pieces.

Nice, man...yeah, those roll smoothly...you can only really tell when they're open and you go left/right and they kinda wiggle and you can tell it's not the STRONGEST construction.

But they don't break the bank, and they get the job done.

Thanks Adam...
Yes sir, I didn't body work it aside from bondo on this huge gash in the side. It's Rustoleum paint which laid down surprisingly flat...but took 3 days to really be dry.

I painted everything inside and out except the lower chest...those drawers had a bed liner finish and I just bought undercoating can and touched that up. Glad I did because that'll see the most abuse from big heavy ratchets and would likely chip easily.
